In NY, Buffalo, and Tampa there is supposed to be a lot of precipitation and high winds. This could be death for kickers (Bryant, Lindell, Feely, NO kicker) and for quarterbacks (Favre, Garcia, Brees, Edwards)....Green Bay has a chance of precipitation with colder weather, but not as much wind. This is what I saw off weather.com at midnight. Anyone in those areas, can you give me a better weather report?

From the Tampa end: Wind (25 MPH SSW) & 40% chance of rain at kick-off; increasing to about 80% chance of rain towards the end of the game.

 
... spent last night betting the trotters at the Meadowlands ... still in Jersey, 'bout 5 minutes from the Stadium ...

just went out to grab a smoke, and it's an icy, very chilly rain coming down ... sleet, rain ... but not too windy ... yet.

Cutler as well, since he is playing the Jet's. I'm in Jersey and is a light cold rain, No wind at all right now.
 
I can't remember seeing this many games with the probability that weather will play a significant role before. Here is the link to the NFL games at weather.com: http://www.weather.com/outlook/events/nfl/schedule

100% probability of precipitation in for Indy-Cle, Den-Jets, Balt-Cin, Caro-GB, and SF-Buff. 80% for NO-TB, 70% for NYG-Wash and Pitt-NE. In the NE and midwest it is mostly very chilly rain. TB has possible severe T-storms. GB has light snow.

Like picking a lineup wasn't hard enough already. At least I am thankful I don't have tickets to any of these games. ;)

As of right now, Green Bay has little wind and it is actually fairly nice outside for the time of year. No issues at this point.

 
Stopped snowing in NJ, could be freezing rain later, but they are saying more than likely rain. Temp is not likely to be below freezing - even after the late kickoff.

Winds around 15MPH at kickoff... Which means add 5-10 to that for the Meadowlands.

Good day for the RBs, not as good for the others.

I live 10 minutes from the stadium. Weather will not be a factor in this game. Might have some light rain (won't be a down pour of any kind), the temperature will not be below freezing (early 40's) and there is really no wind to speak of outside right now. I just walked my dog for 10 minutes outside in a sweatshirt with only a t-shirt underneath and wasn't even cold.
 
Tampa Bay forecast from weather.com looks brutal:

Strong Storms / Wind

High 76°F

Precip 70%

Does this benefit the short passing game for NO? Upgrade Shockey and Bush (assuming he plays?) I don't see NO running the ball well against the Bucs.

Well it is raining steady now as I loaded the van for the tailgating and the therm on my deck shows 35... supposed to get warmer somewhat 6 hours from now at kickoff, but I don't think the rain will be stopping. The wind is supposed to kick up.
 
I live 10min from Giellete and it is sleeting hard right now. It will change to rain - but 6hrs of precip, plus the heavy stuff during the game is not going to bode well for those starting guys.

Found this on weather.com:Game notes: The Saints are 1-4 in outdoor games since Week 17 of last season after a run that saw them win 8 of 11 games outdoors between the start of 2006 and Week 12 of 2007. It figures that if your quarterback's last name in Brees, the wind would not be a bother. The Saints are 5-1 in games when the wind is 10mph or stronger. The Bucs have won 5 in a row at home, but they've been bothered by windy conditions in the past, losing 4 of the 5 home games they've played in winds of 14mph or more.

Hopefully GB weather holds up...I have alot riding on this game needing a win or tie (and another team to lose if I tie) to get into the playoffs. And I have Jennings, Smith, and Crosby going.

This is good news since I have Brees started in two leagues. Brees and L. Moore are in one game were I play my biggest rival and a win clinches the division for me with one week to go. Would rather win the title this week and rest easy for two weeks until I play in the second round of the playoffs.
 
Roto has this to say about the Buffalo game:

"Precipitation is not expected in Buffalo for Sunday's Bills-49ers game until 3:00PM ET.

At 3PM ET, there is an 80 percent chance of snow and by 4PM ET there is a 100 percent chance. The clubs should be able to get in two hours of snow-free play in 30-35 degree weather before the snow hits. Wind is not expected to be a big factor in upstate New York. Trent Edwards, Lee Evans, Shaun Hill, and the 49ers' receivers are safe to use in fantasy leagues."

Will the FBG projection updates this morning take any of this weather into account?

Of course, I'm not sure it matters. Some of my dilemmas involve two players at the same position facing bad weather (Winslow/Keller, Winslow/Shockey, Coles/A. Bryant, Crosby/M. Bryant). Neither might be a good play.
