Making A Murderer (Netflix) (Spoilers) (1 Viewer)

I’ll probably watch but #### this murdering SOB.  I admit I got wrapped up a little in season one and empathized with him but now that I know the facts I’m not sure how this season will hold my interest.

Yeah, it won't hold as much mystery since we know the events that have transpired since the first season (the appeals, etc.), but I am interested to see if Zellner drops any nuggets that we don't already know.

I'm in... but 10 more episodes seems like a bit much at this point.
I doubt that’s even the end, considering where the Avery post-conviction effort is now.  There’s a pretty amazing petition before the Wisconsin Circuit Court that hasn’t been ruled on yet.

I think it’s about 50/50 that the conviction is vacated, the State moves to try again, and Avery  ends up taking an Abrams plea for manslaughter and time-served.

I thought season 2 was very interesting and worthwhile. Curious if anyone's opinion on SA/BD's guilt or right to re-trial was swayed at all by this season?

So now, Teresa's Halbach's family has to endure having wounds ripped open again, just so these filmmakers can make more money on a second documentary in their clear attempt to make a guilty man look less guilty?  Shameful.

Zero interest in watching this.

No idea what the real story is with Steven, but, there is no way Brendan is guilty of what they put him away for.  If it get's an innocent kid out of jail it's all worth it.

Only 4 episodes in and that new lawyer lady looks like she might be able to get them all set free.  They're just about to let Bendan go and I hope that's what really happens.

They are both still guilty imho.  Brendan may not have participated in the murder, but he helped clean up and destroy evidence.

It's all horrible for the Halbach family. I'm not going to take a position of guilt or innocence but there isn't any doubt in my mind that kid's confession was coerced and they planted thoughts in his head.

The amount of dissenting evidence on the state's story is frightening.

I would want Cruella DeVille on my case if I were ever to be in such a horrible situation.

only two episodes in to the second one......did I hear it right that Zellner had to sit (for 30 years) on one of her clients telling her he committed a bunch murders that nobody knew about...?

I get client/attorney privilege and all....but it had to suck to sit on that information for so long when you know what the family members of the victims were probably having to go through and them not having that information/closure that whole time....

I think it was 3 years.

Anyway, just finished the first episode. I love this show although it would be so much better if they gave the opposing perspective.

Zellner's a badass though.

Haven't watched yet, but is there anything presented in S2 that we don't already know from the news? Regarding the appeals that have been denied, etc.?

I don't know.  Regarding outcomes I'd guess not, but, I haven't been keeping up with the news which probably makes it better to watch.

What facts did I miss something?  Did S.A. admit to doing it?

same here - I meant to say something when I saw this, but got distracted.

Did who do what in the what now?
I believe  you don't know all the facts of the case.  You're gonna be extremely disappointed after you watch season 2.  The best you can hope for is what will probably  happen  anyway the two innocent people will be shanked in prison before  their big pay day!

I've read/watched just about everything on this case. I don't understand how any rational human being can come to the conclusion that Avery/Dassey are guilty. I cannot wrap my head around it. The state of Wisconsin railroaded them. It's an egregious miscarriage justice. Appalling.

What facts don’t I know?  There’s nothing in season 2 that hasn’t already been public.

There's another documentary coming out next year called "Convicting A Murderer" and it covers the case from the other point of view.

Kratz's rebuttal to Season 2, I guess.  Not very compelling for me after watching season 2. After season 1, I was 50/50 on SA's guilt. Now...5-10%. I see a re-trial in his future based on discovered and withheld evidence. Would like to see detailed arguments against his innocence as I didn't study the facts outside of the show.
I keep seeing people say this, but there's apparently no new information reported in Season 2 that hasn't already been put out there. All appeals and Zellner's  filings have been denied to date, despite what I felt having compelling arguments. Unless there's something else that she hasn't exposed yet (and I can't imagine why she wouldn't have), then there won't be another trial. She's already tried for that and been denied.
