Manning as much a cancer as T.O? (1 Viewer)

If Terrell Owens were to magically become a free agent at the end of this year, how many teams would

Which is better, apples or oranges?

Any team would put up with a headcase QB if he could sling the ball and win them games. Very few would tolerate the same from a WR who's good but by no means so far past his contemporaries that he warrants putting up with.

Right now, there aren't 32 men walking the face of the Earth qualified to be good or great NFL QBs. There are about 150 people who could fill in for a WR without the team missing a step.

The poll question doesn't answer the real question at hand.

Disagree totally. A cancer QB that tore a team apart (as Owens has been accused of in PHI and SF) would absolutley not be tolerated any more than another position. Probably less considering how important the QB is. :thumbup:I don't disagree though the real question is does one agree with bostonfred in that Manning is as much a cancer as TO. I'll make a different poll.J

Why? Do you really think the poll would be close. Saying that Manning is a cancer like Owens is like comparing Halle Berry to Rosie O' Donnell.

Any Indy homers know how his teammates feel about him based on local paper reports? I've never seen any stories where his teammates stuck up for him when he was getting bashed by the press. I've never heard of the defense coming out in his defense after a playoff loss and saying its not his fault. Maybe his teammates think he is a glory hound. Maybe they think he chokes in the playoffs. Maybe he rubs them the wrong way.
I heard all the players, especially the WRs were all secretly lobbying Polian to trade Manning for Charlie Frye. Looking for a spark or something. :hifive:J
Did you think my question was not legit or something? The question is whether he is a cancer on the team. Wouldnt his teammates feelings towards him give the best indication if this were true?

I'd like to know which non-Patriot fans on this board generally agree with bostonfred's views on Manning. I've seen fred post his negative feelings on Manning ad nauseam... and I've noticed Pat Patriot chiming in recently, and other Pats homers as well... but IMO there is clear bias in Pats fans posting negatively about Manning, so I'd like to get an unbiased head count.

We can do the same thing for the other side of the argument, but I doubt it's needed. For the record, I'm not a Colts fan, but I'm on the other side of the argument (i.e., Manning is a great QB and is not a cancer).

How long until a Pats fan cannot resist responding to this post? Or mentioning Brady?
