Marco Rubio 2016 (1 Viewer)

More Floridians are supporting Trump than Rubio....the numbers speak for themselves....no sense in denying that ....
Who denied anything?

I'm just saying MOP typing 1,000 words about Rubio means nothing.

He's trying to pass himself off as a Rubio expert based on his residency, and that's a pretty basic thing to know.

Guy never shows up to vote. He isn't that well liked down here, he's behind Trump by 20+ right now in his home state, I didn't make that up. That's not MOP opinion it's fact.
Ok. And do you still hope he gets voted out or have you changed your stance?

Seems like something you'd be plugged into down there.

I have no idea what you were referencing to start with. I don't like Rubio based on many things but I didn't come in this thread to bash Rubio. You brought up basics, i don;t believe Rubio speaks well at the debates and his topics are largely jihadist in nature. Nothing he says gets my attention in a good way, put it that way.

You folks who argue with MOP directly instead of the actual issues...sure like to make special rules up as you go along. I never professed to being an expert, it sounds like you have more of the answers so maybe you're the expert and doing what we call PROJECTING!? That's how it comes across.

Are you a GOP supporter? Either way, I ask we not make this personal because there is so much more to discuss. Whatever you seem to be marinating on, can we move past it?

Glad he was exposed as the idiot he truly is. I think this process shows he isn't fit to be President and quite frankly the folks down here in Florida need to make him a 1 and done Senator.
This is what I'm referencing.

Based on that comment, your opinion is a nonstarter in a serious discussion of Marco Rubio in which you try to sell your Florida residency as a means for being expert witness.

He's your US Senator and he's been pretty vocal about not running for reelection for the better part of two years, and made it official nearly a year ago. You had no idea.

Can you not see how that discounts your opinion in a "Marco Rubio 2016" thread?

As for my opinion, I generally keep those to myself in the political threads.

I'm just along for the ride. So in that regard, I'm guilty of needling you and not offering substance.

You are free to have your opinions. Despite your feelings and opinions, a lot of people join me in a lot of conversations about Rubio and other politicians. I made no disparaging remarks about him in this thread, I stand by my comments. Most folks don't even know who Rubio is, if they even recognize his face they can't tell you much about him and you want to call me on the carpet because I am not active on Rubio's itinerary team.  God love you but your entire premise to want and put me down personally makes you like every other MOP troll in the politics thread. It's a good spot to throw MOP jabs no doubt, but then one can't take much you say with a grain of salt to use your words because you have some built in hatred towards the poster.

Nothing I said changes because you cry foul and paste from some other thread. I didn't come in here to try and put Rubio down, in fact I edited several posts realizing this is not the Trump or general GOP thread.

Given how much he spent in NH, SC and NV, this has to be disappointing.  Maybe it's time to throw in the towel on this floundering campaign.

That posted I quoted (the one with you calling him an idiot that you hope didn't get reelected) was from this thread, genius.

Bush is out and Carson isn't really a threat. If the establishment can convince Kasich to drop out then they just need to convince Cruz and Trump to drop - Marco still has a chance.

Trump isn't dropping out.

Pretty telling that as of now he trails in his home state.
Speaks more about the Trump hysteria in the region than it says about Marco, IMO.

JEB! was one of the most popular Governors the state has had, and he trailed Trump significantly as well.

Still leaning towards Rubio but I doubt it will matter by time I get to vote. (April 19th)
I am March 15th but this March 1st Super Tuesday will go a long way to sorting things out. If Rubio fades- I will have to consider either voting Hillary or Cruz. Whichever vote it looks to me will be the better way to keep Sanders or Trump out of the White House. I believe Illinois in open primary.... it is the first year I would have ever considered jumping to the Democrat side so I am not really sure.

Why Chad? Why the Trump hate? Is there 1 or 2 specifics? I'm sure you can rattle off a long list of things you disagree with but what specifically makes you hate Trump? The wall he wants to build? Illegal Immigration tough talk? Winning? I'm curious because you have always have been a solid GOP supporter from what I can recall.

I am a conservative person in my thinking and end up conservative in most positions. The GOP is the conservative party so I do end up voting for the Republican in prob about 95% of all the elections I have voted in. I am a registered Republican and always have been since I could vote.

It would be easier for me to come up with what I like about Trump.... he has a hot wife? I can actually come up with much more positive things to say about Soviet Sanders than I could Trump.

Just focus on the hot wife.

It is really too bad that Trump decided to throw his hat in the ring this election. I always thought Rubio had the right ingredients to win the presidency and bring young voters and Hispanic voters into the Conservative tent, really change the face and makeup of the party. The good news is he is only 45, so he should have a few more campaigns left in him.

Clear your conscience and vote Kasich

So if the activity or lack thereof in this thread after last nights debate is an indication......The Rube is done. Has his best night yet and nothing but crickets.

There's plenty of talk about Rubio in the GOP thread.

While I agree that he probably won't overtake Trump, thread activity generally goes to more polarizing candidates. Independent/undecided voters don't usually get involved in political threads outside of lurking.

The Bernie Sanders thread has 8000 views since the board got upgraded last week.  This thread has 7000 views since early November.

The Bernie thread got corrupted in the upgrade because it had a symbol in the title, so the mods had to move the entire thing to a new thread.

lol...the numbers did look odd.

Rubio being young, smart and snarky at Trump was effective last night. Someone else pointed this out but him looking at the audience and getting them in on the joke in laughing AT nutty Donald was brilliant whether he intended it or not. Should have started that in January.

My wife, who is undecided, didn't like the smarmy Rubio last night.

I could not agree with this more.  If this thing ends up Trump versus Hillary, I may have to do the unthinkable (at least for me).  At the very least, I would be leaving the President voting blank which is also something I never thought I would do.

My conscience is clear. I like Kasich and would vote for him but it looks like he is on his way out. At this point, Rubio has the best chance to unseat Trump/Cruz. Either Rubio or Kasich will get my vote if they are a serious challenger. If neither is- I would consider Cruz if it became a two man race. If Trump happens to have what seems like an inevitable lead- and the Democratic race is competitive then I will support Hillary (as much as that makes my stomach turn) against Soviet Sanders. My vote goes to the best way I think I can avoid a Soviet Sanders vs Trump general election. Because if that happens.... goodness..... either of those old fools will make Obama look like Washington/Lincoln/Teddy/Reagan

Rubio is the one on the way out.  He's down 20 in FL.  He's not making that deficit up. If he gets routed in FL, he's no longer viable.  Kasich is viable in Ohio and with momentum viable in the bluer winner take all states in the north, Midwest and west..  Kasich has a much more viable path than Rubio at this point.   With respect to Cruz, can you see his message selling well in Illinois, New York, California, Michigan etc?  Those are large states where Kasich is much more palatable than Cruz.  After Super Tuesday, where will Cruz sell well?

Agreed...these line of attack against Trump should have used at the outset...
