Mark Ingram (16 Viewers)

Loving it! Drafted him in 3/7 leagues, started him in two leagues week 1 and two leagues week 2...though I know I've mentioned that going back to before the season started. :)

Still they are on pace for 424 rushing attempts. The only real issue for Ingram is the perplexing insistence on using Khiry Robinson so much while Ingram has the hot hand. I can see it if/when Ingram struggles but when he is positively ripping defenses to shreds you need to keep feeding him the ball.

If you didn't know he was going to be this good, you haven't been paying attention since the end of last year.

Agreed. wtf goes through Payton's mind when he takes out an elite high draft pick guy averaging 7 ypc to put in a 3rd string undrafted Rb?

It makes no sense. You guys spent a 1st rounder in this guy and he's starting to pay off finally. He's in a contract year and he might not be a saint next year. Ride him.

Bill Parcels told him that Khiry reminds him of Curtis Martin. Payton worships Parcels.

Khiry reminds me of an undrafted Rb who is pretty good but worse than Ingram. Anyone with 2 eyes can see this. Payton is moronic with his Rb rotation. It baffle me to see such a brilliant offensive mind be so blind.

This day and age i have no problem with an rbbc. But why on earth should three rbs be getting the ball. Ingram should be the 1st and 2nd down back and get all goal line touches and PT should be the 3rd down rb and two minute back. It shouldnt be that difficult.

I still can't get anything for this guy... It's really making me mad since I'm the one whose ride or died with him since I drafted him at 1.03 and the best offer I'm STILL getting is a 3rd round pick... OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE.

if he's as good as you think, why are you trying to trade him?

trade someone else if you believe him so much

So keep him for yourself

Still incredibly hard to start him next week. No reason to trade him for nothing though. He's likely gone after this year.

It's dumb enough when coaches shy away from the run game prematurely when it isn't working so well. It's absolutely asinine to do so when it is.

I kno these guys are NFL coaches and they are smarter than us, but damn how long before Payten realizes he can rely on his running game. Honestly this guy is running better than any running back in the league right now why he's not getting 18-20 carries is insane! Maybe they kno he can't handle it but what they are doing now is not working!! He's gotta be averaging 5yds a carry imagine if they let him get a rhythm!

Coaches may be smart but they often out think themselves and have big egos. This seems to be the case in NO right now. They could be 2-0 if they stick to the run a bit more. As it stands, they are 0-2.

Nothing like starting 0-2 to make a coach re-evaluate game plan.

More of a cry for why am I still getting crappy offers. He performs, yet his value never seems to go up with his performance. I'll happily hold.

Maybe it's due to the fact that Ingram is in his "contract year", so the team figures if they keep his stats down he'll be due less $ on his new deal.

TG he's ripping it up as he's my RB1 in my 14 team league, drafted in the 8th round. Weird year for RBs thus far w/ all the suspensions and injuries. If he can average 80ish and a TD here on out, I'll be happy.

He's an unrestricted free agent after this year- why would he even think about re-signing with NO, especially if they were purposely under-utilizing him to keep his value down?

Coaches are focused on winning right now, they aren't sandbagging guys so they can try and sign them to a cheaper long-term contract. I don't know what Payton's reasoning is here, but I'm certain it isn't that.

I was offered a kicker for him, seriously someone try to top that
I got him in dynasty last year literally for free. I negotiated a 2-for-1 trade (I gave two and got one back, Ingram wasn't involved), and then told the other guy to offer the trade and please include whoever he was going to cut just to make the sides even. I was pleasantly surprised to see Mark Ingram sitting on his side of the deal when it came down. People are impatient.

+1 hold for now especially in a keeper league. If he ends up on a team where he is the #1 RB that gets 15-20 carries a game, like he could be a top 10 back.

If he pulls it off next week he might be on the must start lvl.

How is he hard to start? He is getting more than half the carries, most of the goalline work, and also is getting a few balls thrown his way. Add in that he has actually been playing really well and plays on one of the league's best offenses and what is not to like?

You obviously don't know Payton.

I offered Ingram up for Torrey Smith and was snap rejected. Not sure if it's right or wrong but nobody has any faith in this situation.

Maybe it's because Yahoo has Ingram projected to score 8 points the last 2 weeks. If that starts climbing into the teens there might be more of a trade market for him. Ya'll do whatever ya'll want. lolol I want off the train this week.
