Mark Ingram (7 Viewers)

I really don't understand how they don't give him more than a handful of carries and nobody in the media calls Sean Payton on this it's unreal

This is pathetic - what kind of ridiculous offensive gameplan has Ingram getting 19 carries in a 2-game span? That should be Ingram's weekly workload.

What the hell is going on in New Orleans?

If Peyton is trying to get fired this year, hes off to a great start.  Their def actually played well today and his play calling cost them the game.

I traded him last year straight up in dynasty for David Johnson after he was hurt and just before DJ started going off.  At the time it felt risky but the one thing I knew is that I did not believe he would ever get consistent usage and I was buying the hype on DJ.  Worked out.  That all said, with Khiry gone I really thought he would finally get the usage.  Nope.

Maybe the Saints need to run the ball more, but lets not act like Mark Ingram isn't one of the worst starting Rb's in the NFL.  I doubt Payton goes into a game thinking he has to get Ingram the ball.

Not even close. He's closer to top 10 than bottom 10.

Do the Saints really think that Hightower and Cadet are better RB's than Ingram. Maybe in the passing game, but Ingram can hold his own in that as well. Yesterday I was watching the game when Ingram missed a block on a Giants blitz that caused Brees to get sacked and Brees got up not happy at all with Ingram.

For owners that have people like Jamaal Charles and Freeman, do u try to trade for Ingram?

could be a decent buy low depending on ur situation

This has got to be a huge fishing expedition.

If you're an Ingram owner you have to feel a little like Charlie Brown with Peyton paying the role of Lucy. It's still only two weeks but this is really starting to sound like a song we've heard each of the last few years. I realize NO has a HOF QB but jeez....you HAVE to have better balance.

Considering myself lucky as I targeted him in every draft and it just never worked out that I took him.

If they had stuck with the run at the beginning of the game they may have been able to pull it out. Peyton's reluctance to stick with the Run cost them in week one as well

It has cost them so many games over the past few years, and it seems like such a no-brainer to run the ball more considering how terrible their defense has been.

It's very possible that they only win 1 or 2 out of their first 10 games- any chance Payton gets canned?

They don't have the balls.

They weren't running the ball
Sure but he was their 3 down back last year and most people drafted him on that assumption.  Still has to be disappointing for his owners.  Week 1 Cadet was in on first and goal inside the 5 at least 3 GL series.

My guess is that Payton gets some sort of extension just like Fisher in LA.  Not the right moves, but these owners seem over-the-top loyal.

On the Saints opening drive, they ran the ball 6 times and passed 5 times.  Controlled the ball, moved the chains, kept their own defense off the field.  Touchdown and Saints led 7-0.  The next time they had the ball, they went incomplete-incomplete-incomplete.  3-and-out.  Defense back on the field immediately and the Falcons were off to the races.

The coaching staff knows that their defense sucks but it seems they would rather commit to getting in shootouts with Brees rather than try to control the clock a little bit.  So basically a repeat of their 7-9 record in 2015, and their 7-9 record in 2014.

Ingram has 7 carries, those donkeys 1 each.  They were working yardage trying to get a first down.
They had Lasco in on majority of the carries in the 20. Brought Ingram in for the score play where they threw to Kuhn (Ingram was open as well on that play).

Next two drives for Saints were garbage,
