Mark Ingram (2 Viewers)

Mark Ingram would become a free agent if he's named first-team All-Pro. He's a bit of a long shot. But if he does in the next 6 games what he's done in the last 6, he'll finish with 1,442 rushing yards and 16 TDs

Interesting!

Saints will not let this happen.

Wins >>> contracts. They're not going to limit him if he's playing well. Last week sucked for everyone sans Kamara and that's why he didn't play much. Kamara was otherworldly.

I'm hoping it was simply a game script issue (they were playing from behind for the entire game) and not a sign of a shift or trying to short circuit his FA chances.

Gane script shouldn't be a problem down the stretch outside of maybe the game in Atlanta

This. He had 11 rushes in both the LA game and Was game

with very different results of course

His value is plummeting. Kamara getting goaline carries and sucking up a lot of any screens Ingram may have gotten.

Add the fact that I'm pretty sure he banged Payton's daughter at some point or something and he's definitely trending down.

Ingram got a goal line carry, maybe two actually, on that possession.

Mark Ingram - RB - Saints

Mark Ingram (toe) was held out of Tuesday's practice.

It's a downgrade after Ingram was limited on Monday. It's quite possible the Saints are just managing Ingram's reps on a short week, but his Week 14 status cannot be taken for granted. Were Ingram to sit for Thursday's game against the Falcons, Alvin Kamara would be the RB1 overall for the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

Mark Ingram - RB -  Saints

Mark Ingram (toe) is questionable for Week 14 against the Falcons.

Ingram was again listed as DNP on Wednesday, putting him in actual question for Thursday night in Atlanta. He's looking like a potential game-time decision. If Ingram sits, Alvin Kamara will be an even more elite RB1 play.

Luckily I'm on a bye this week :)
Same but I'm thinking about handcuffing him even though I also own Kamara. This backfield is just so valuable that I want to monopolize it, even if it's to block other owners.

So, Williams or Edmunds? My guess is Williams since he has more NFL experience and I believe Edmund's main draw and the reason he made the team was because of special teams.

I rostered Williams in a dynasty for this reason.  I think they brought him on board for a reason (a guy that could handle Ingram's role if Ingram got banged up, as he is wont to do).  Edmunds does play a ton of special teams, so I think your line of thinking has merit.

No idea how it actually plays out though.

Yeah same, it's just an educated guess. I mean, I'm assuming Lasco would have worked ahead of Edmunds if he didn't get injured. I remember reading an article about how Edmunds was a real long shot to make the team but impressed on special teams. The game in which he got burn was the game vs. BUF where Lasco got injured and was taken out on a stretcher. They signed Williams the following week.

Exactly, and the RB coach is Williams' former position coach at Arkansas.

As a Kamara owner, I actually want Ingram to play. They complement each other so well and there is plenty of production to go around. I'd be shocked if he really doesn't play

Even if he plays, he could easily end up with his lowest # of touches in a game. Starting Lamar 'I'm looking for a place to lay down' Miller with zero confidence.

Man, that's a tough call! IMO, if active, I'm not benching Ingram
I've been burned both ways. Started stud with injury only to see him sit down after a few carries. Not start him and watch him outscore everyone else I have. The fact that Kamara can carry the load is why I'm going with craptastic Miller.

looks like i'm going to need to bench ingram.  i can't possibly trust a RB with a bad toe when the Saints have a fully capable Kamara to carry the load all game can I?!  I have depth and can plug in Carlos Hyde instead but lord help me if I do that and Ingram goes off.

Yep. Good news is it's the Thurs game. Thinking it's Gio for me...

Have Crowell or Morris (one was already likely to be in my lineup) and now Mike Davis too.

Could even still get Gio and Barber

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/12/07/mark-ingram-expected-to-play-thursday-night/

"Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Ingram is expected to be in the lineup against the Falcons.  What impact the injury will have on Ingram’s usage remains to be seen, but Kamara has played more snaps than his older teammate in the last three games and any accommodation for the toe seems likely to extend that streak to four in a row."

This makes the decision tougher obviously.  Like many people, Ingram is one of the reasons my team made the playoffs this year.  If I did not start him, I'd probably go Gio Bernard (if Mixon is out).  That said, I'm really hesitant to sit him if they've just been giving Ingram rest days to heal a non-serious injury.  I'm not overly worried about Kamara getting more snaps as it seems that in many games both of these runners have been productive from a "real football" and fantasy perspective.

Question:  any NO homers know exactly what is up with his toe...what the specific injury is and how severe it is?  The reporting on his injury just seems kind of vague from what I've seen...
