Marlins Park (1 Viewer)

If this has already been done please merge. Went to the Marlins-Cubs today, will be going to all day games in the middle of the week this season, more folks should take time off and enjoy this.

-We parked across from the stadium at some folks apartment complex, $20 no blocking, would have been $15-$25 anywhere, will look into public transportation but the parking was a little stressful, had to keep going by lots for folks with passes.

-Honestly, this stadium is very nice but it still has a lot of meh in it and I will go over that with you. 1st of all if you see one concession when you walk in the door you pretty much have seen them all. The food is OK, I would like to see even more selections than "FanFeast" every other section. It's way better than JRS but it still is just OK IMHO. The more time I frequent the more I hope to hear about more stuff. I was kinda shocked walking in the lower bowl that there wasn't much in the way of something like a cigar bar. The Clevelander sits in Left Center but who wants to sit in the outfield? I hate all those seats.

-I bought a hot dog and I knew there were problems when I handed over the $7 and then found out I was waiting behind 5 others and the runner went for buns...STALE!!! I tried to return it, clerk said no refunds...went to a guy with a suit jacket and handed him the hot dog to give to his boss...he was very nice and rectified the situation quickly. Hot dog was replaced, got 2 drink cards for our troubles.

-Tropicana Field is better in many ways, there I said it and it's true. Trop has more nostalgia, a fantastic little museum, escalators throughout...DO NOT buy 300 level tickets and walk up 5 ramps to get there...I'm telling you you're gonna hate that.

Will be going as often as time and money permit, sat in section 305, scooted over to 306, perfect view of the skyline, right where the infield meets the outfield, tix only cost me about $25 for the pair on Craigslist from a season fix holder. Miami/Ft Laud/WPB folks, go go go!!!

Wow. I'm kind of shocked they don't have some good, authentic food stands there. That's disappointing.

I'm heading there in June for the Rays series. Looking forward to going.

We might have to bump into each other, I plan on going to the Rays too probably both places. Marlins Park is terrific but I should have also added they had the roof closed and that likely gave it the feeling of Tropicana Field inside. Replay as well as an in house announcer were noticeably missing today.

The announcers were eating some cubans in the booth that looked pretty damn good.

I was there yesterday as well, took my son out of school early and had a great time. I guess you didn't see the desert cart. Some more food in the MVP Suite, I thought all FBG's were highrollers

There were supposed to be empinadas in the centerfield 'yellow' area....but they were out on Opening Week....not sure if they'll be restocked later. Definitely had cubans...but those are pretty standard these days.

There are a lot of design flaws with the stadium (the biggest being that you are unable to enter the Team Store from inside the stadium...you have to go out, get stamped, then come back in thru the main entrance after shopping)....(and the elevators you have to use to go up or down are a nightmare).....but Loria's vision overall was very good IMO. Colorful, artistic, great flow thru the promenade all the way around, and really great area in center to hang out and look at the city. And the Clevelander is the coolest VIP area I've ever seen in a stadium....at least on Opening Night when they had supermodels everywhere. The seats are right on the field, which gives you a unique angle.

The AC is nice on a hot day....but you'll appreciate the stadium more when the roof and 60 ft window are open.

I drove on Opening Night from downtown down some side roads....took about 10 minutes to get there from Biscayne Blvd and park...really easy. Only took 20 minutes total from my hotel on Ocean. Fantastic location. I explored the 'hood a lot over 4 days...and never had any issues or felt unsafe.

ETA: If anyone wants a cheap, decent hotel on the beach, PM me.

:lmao:Only place I've seen something close to this is Dodgers Stadium. Considering the place is 50 years old, it's somewhat understandable.

There is no excuse for a new stadium to not be absolutely amazing from a fan perspective. There should be lots of different foods, good views from every seat, and lots of ways for the brand to interact with the fans without distracting from the actual event or game. I don't understand how so many teams screw this up.

In their defense, there is a Promenade Store behind home plate...and 14 kiosks around the park. But on nights with big crowds, the Promenade Store gets too crowded....its only about 1200 sqft compared to the Main Team Store's 4000.

Just lucked into a couple Diamond Club seats for this Saturday's game against the Mets. Seven rows behind home plate, all you can eat and :banned:

Pretty excited and it's only Tuesday, I've never sat this close to the field for a MLB game in my life.
