Two roto reports:
NFL Network's Mike Lombardi predicted on Total Access Friday that Laurence Maroney will be the Broncos' primary back with Knowshon Moreno (hamstring) sidelined. Analysis: Lombardi, who's close to people in the Denver organization, conceded that Correll Buckhalter "will be involved," but made it sound like Maroney has a very good chance to immediately take over as the lead back. The Colts' defense is not stout against the run, so Maroney is worth flex consideration because of the matchup. He is over his previous thigh injury.
Not exactly a glowing recommendation, but has anyone heard anything similar? Seems like he might be a good play against that Colt's run defense.According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Knowshon Moreno's strained hamstring will cost him "probably two weeks." Analysis: Keep in mind that Mort said this in reply to a Twitter question, so it's not an official "report." However, Mortensen has been on the story from the get-go, and was the first to report that the injury happened in Friday's practice. Laurence Maroney is tentatively expected to lead the Broncos in carries while Moreno is out, but we'll know more about the backfield distribution after Week 3. Correll Buckhalter and Andre Brown are also in the mix.
