There was a good bit of uncertainty in the FF community this offseason with Marshall moving from pass happy Denver to run happy Miami. Many thought he wouldn’t get the targets or catches but through 4 games that hasn’t been the case. Through 4 games he’s got 46 targets (11.5/game) and 27 receptions (6.75/game) for 340 yards and 1 td. Most of the estimates seemed to be in the 80-85 catch range but extrapolating his targets/catches out you’re looking at 184/108 and another 100 catch season.
Although his production isn’t through the roof the good thing, and the thing I judge my wr’s by, are the catches and targets are there. If you get those the numbers/tds will come. At the same point last year he had 16-219-2 through 4 games and finished 101-1120-10 for the 9th overall wr. He’s through his bye week and he’s sitting as the #25 wr in non-ppr leagues. He’s an excellent guy to target right now since he’s not been putting up great numbers and some owners may be a little antsy with him. He’s not going to be traded for pennies on the dollar but I think he could be traded for in a number of leagues for a decent rate. I’d look to package up some overachievers like Lloyd, Collie, etc. and get yourself some BMarsh.
