Think Pats giving a 4th and 7th, and Bears giving Bennett and 6th.
I would not go that far. This will be fun. That's a lot of fast powerful mass between bennett and gronk.
No sweat, still surprised they got what they did.Sorry...I read it wrong. Mid round pick.
Since Buck was so upset about recycling the thread, I figured I would just recycle what I wrote four years ago. Seems even more true today than then. Well, except the whole "best te on the team" part...but still a great move for him and the patriots. This is going to be HUGE for Bennett. Finally on a focussed team with a HC that will get the best from him and clearly the best TE on the team. A 6'6" giant that you can never double (no way teams double him and not Nicks/Cruz). Signs a one-year deal (e.g., will be playing ball out to earn a big payday next year).
This may be one of the best FA signings there has been!
I'm gonna go with no one. Or more correctly, Dion Lewis when they decide to not throw more than once a game.I'm curious as to who's running the ball in New England this year.
...and if Dion Lewis isn't that guy, Donald Brown is their plan B?I'm gonna go with no one. Or more correctly, Dion Lewis when they decide to not throw more than once a game.
probably their plan c...and if Dion Lewis isn't that guy, Donald Brown is their plan B?
I think the Pats can draft a serviceable RB from in the 2nd or 3rd round that can play on 1st and 2nd down. Bennett paired with Gronk will force D's to really think how they'll cover those two big targets especially in the red zone....and if Dion Lewis isn't that guy, Donald Brown is their plan B?
I think your in a small minority that think this is good for Bennett, never mind a huge boost.Bennett is going to be a 1b to Gronk's 1a. This is a HUGE boost for Bennett.
I think its entirely likely Gronk's production actually goes up compared to last season when he had to stay in and block a lot, now that they have two very competent receiving and block TEs its possible his production could go up or down depending on how the offense shakes out. They aren't going to feed Gronk for the sake of feeding him.
I did too at first glance.Who the #### is Jules?! Is it that hard to type Edelman?
i thought you were talking about Julius Thomas for fantasy purposes. Lol.
My stepfather's name was Jules, he died about 7 years ago and that almost made me cry.Who the #### is Jules?! Is it that hard to type Edelman?
i thought you were talking about Julius Thomas for fantasy purposes. Lol.
That's Mr. Brady to you.Tom calls him Jules so I assume that's why that was used earlier. Also Jules>>Gronk was the ranking of targets in the system, not that Jules is better than Gronk. I'm just making assumptions here, so perhaps I'm wrong.
This seems to be going the way that the Pats do with Rbs. They probably won't draft any noticeable RB anytime remotely early and will end up going with Morris or Foster or someone they feel good about at the time.I'm gonna go with no one. Or more correctly, Dion Lewis when they decide to not throw more than once a game.
Well olinemanThis seems to be going the way that the Pats do with Rbs. They probably won't draft any noticeable RB anytime remotely early and will end up going with Morris or Foster or someone they feel good about at the time.
This offense really doesn't need anything they don't have.
No, his floor is what Chandler did last year. 23/259/4I'd put his floor at his 2013 season with Chicago... 65 catches, 750 yards, 5 TD's. I'd anticipate numbers 20-30% greater than that. This garbage about "he opens things up for Gronk" is b.s. Gronk is still going to be drawing all the double teams.
You wanna split the difference, bet $100 - you can have the under, I'll take the over? No, his floor is what Chandler did last year. 23/259/4
Actually your figures should be the over/under mark since it's his floor. You wanna split the difference, bet $100 - you can have the under, I'll take the over?
I didn't #### on someone else's numbers or point.Actually your figures should be the over/under mark since it's his floor.
You want him to bet the under on his 'floor'? That makes no sense whatsoever. You wanna split the difference, bet $100 - you can have the under, I'll take the over?
So you are anticipating between 78-85 catches for 900-975 yards and 6-7 TD's?I'd put his floor at his 2013 season with Chicago... 65 catches, 750 yards, 5 TD's. I'd anticipate numbers 20-30% greater than that. This garbage about "he opens things up for Gronk" is b.s. Gronk is still going to be drawing all the double teams.
Easy buddy. Ur floor number are kinda highI didn't #### on someone else's numbers or point.
I think maybe he was taking issue with your use of "floor".I didn't #### on someone else's numbers or point.
This is going to be way too complicated for you to understand, just move on.You want him to bet the under on his 'floor'? That makes no sense whatsoever.
44/504.5/4.5 is the median. What -specifically- are you wanting to be the over on? All three numbers? You wanna split the difference, bet $100 - you can have the under, I'll take the over?
You looking to write up the contract?44/504.5/4.5 is the median. What -specifically- are you wanting to be the over on? All three numbers?
What happens if he gets 42/600/6? Who wins that?
I just don't want you to ##### and complain in December that you don't understand why you lost. You looking to write up the contract?
I could easily see him eclipsing his career best for all three categories. So you are anticipating between 78-85 catches for 900-975 yards and 6-7 TD's?
Considering the season doesn't end until January 1st, go #### yourself. No #####ing here.I just don't want you to ##### and complain in December that you don't understand why you lost.
I'll bet you $100 that he misses at least one of the numbers that YOU defined as the floor. No provision for injuries.Considering the season doesn't end until January 1st, go #### yourself. No #####ing here.![]()
