Losing to the Browns automatically disqualifies you.

His last few games he has 18 td passes against 1 interception.

Not bad.
November player of the month, he has been 12td/1int/1fumb, not bad numbers but not great and not even top 2 for the AFC for the same month, this is completely excluding positions outside of QB.

I imagine they took the "improvement over last year" factor into account. There's also the marketing angle, with regard to increasing interest in a team that hasn't been in the playoffs for a few years, but very well could make it this year.

over half of his 1,111 passing yds, and 8 of his 12 TDs went to Dwayne Bowe, maybe someone else should of been Player of the Month?

Charles and Jones performed well too, not when it mattered just saying, there were far more impressive players and quarterbacks in november than cassel.Just seems dumb to me, similarly to the MVP voting its almost completely baseless.

What a laugh, especially when you consider that all of his 4 touchdowns and most of his 400+ yards against the Broncos came after they had fallen behind 35-0. If a Chief was gonna be the AFC player of the month, it should have been Bowe. And Brady was probably more deserving than even Bowe, considering his numbers and what he did to the Steelers defense.

Oh Lord, Poor Brady being screwed again. Maybe they should change the voting rules for Brady. Didn't they do that for the tuck rule, and if you touch a QB's hair it's a flag, lol.

Seriously though, Bowe should have gotten player of the month.

It is the "AFC Offensive Player of the Month"; who really cares?
Not me if they are just going to give it to whomever they think makes the best story (Like the Offensive and Defensive MVPs).Why exist at all, or call it something else.
Chris Johnson had the most total yards from scrimmage in the history of the NFL last season but he didn't win the MVP.There are factors beyond bottom-line stats that go into all awards.Personally, I think that you should pro-rate Matt Cassel's stats up 20% because he plays on the suck-### Chiefs and pro-rate Brady's stats down 18.25% because the Pats cheat. Therefore, using that (rock-solid) logic, Cassel had a far superior November and rightfully deserved the award.

Hurr durr, patriots get caught doing something everyone did at the time must be cheaters.CJ2K, Brett Favre, Brees, Peterson all were better candidates imo for MVP than Peyton.

I was just messing with you.Honestly, I think the NFL likes spreading the love around and Cassel has had a really nice stretch lately. It would get kinda old if Manning and Brady just swapped the award back and fort every month.

I agree unless they were the best candidates.

12 TD and 1 int in a month are not great numbers? If you want to make the arguement that someone else deserves it, fine but those numbers are fanastic.

Who is the Chiefs "player of the month"? It's clear Bowe's 8 TDs are far superior to a QB's 12 TDs in a month. So the conference's best player is not even his team's best player
