Matt Cassel ? (1 Viewer)

I'm noticing that Matt Cassel is ranked very high this week by the majority of FF sites that I frequent. No question that the guy has been a stud as of late (single handedly got me in Bowl this week), but I'm concerned about how Sundays weather might affect his numbers this weekend. Is snow expected, and if it is can he still put up great numbers based on the absence of a strong running game? How has Belichick adjusted his game-plan in the past in late season games? Am I an idiot for being worried and should just start and ride my horses? Cheers !

I second this! Far too many times this year I have made changes because of weather and for most part been burned for it, and/or was wasteing my time! I don;t think there has been a game this year where a certain player was overly effected by weather. If they are on they will produce rain, snow, wind. Whatever! Take the KC-SD game for example. It went pretty much like projectd despite the hi wnd warnings all week and weathr warnings at game time. Fitzpatrick actually had his best fantasy game of year in the Cincy weather warning game! TJ was stopped because the defense wanted to stop him. Not because of weather.

Noted, thanks.

Good info here!

Problem is its him or peyton who plays tonight so I have to decide also today!
I face the same problem, but had I mentioned that in my OP, I would have probably been caned publicly for disguising a WDIS thread. Was hoping for a little more insight from the sharks but apparently all of the good and valuable insight is being givin in the "Who's Your Sleeper Kicker this Week" thread. Im still tempted to lean towards Cassel, but the early weather reports are making me nervous. On the other hand Peyton has never let me down in Playoffs.

Id go with peyton

I'm in the exact same boat in my money dyno. Leaning cassel as the cardinals don't have a lot to play for while jacksonville has the motivation of divisional rivalry hatred. Additionally, Peyton didn't put up great numbers at home against JAX earlier this season, don't have much reason to expect too much better on the road

Then again this will probably be the week he goes off for 5 TDs if i bench the guy

But I'm agonizing over this a bit

bump

The only way I'm sitting Cassell is if it's a blizzard at gametime, other than that, he's my starter.
Second that ... unless the conditions are near white out and horizontal snow, I'm rolling Cassel over Rodgers. I'd risk it and go with Cassel over Manning too if I had that decision. In fact, I'm going Cassel AGAINST Manning.
