I think he is the Cardinals starting qb next year.Well crap. There goes our hopes of making the playoffs! In all seriousness, I hate to see Moore get injured. I think he has a lot of potential and could flourish under the right circumstances. I hope that he gets another shot, either with Carolina, or more likely, with another team after he is cut.
It wouldn't be a bad fit. I honestly hope that he comes back to Carolina and gets a chance to at least compete for the job once the new coaching staff is in place. I don't see Jimmy Clausen earning the starting job if there is a true competition.I think he is the Cardinals starting qb next year.Well crap. Clausen is beyond horrible. He doesnt even look like an NFL qb. Some of the throws he made yesterday you have to wonder if even studies the playbook. It wouldn't be a bad fit. A part of me wants to see Edwards play as a qb. He probably would make it about 3 series before he was chopped in 2. He is listed at 187 but I have to think he is smaller than that.Just heard on local radio...A. Edwards being switched from WR to QB immediately. I wondering if the Pats are laughing harder at us from trading #33 overall for Edwards or Minny for renting Moss for 4 wks for a 3rd.
what's his contract like? depending on the moves made in the offseason to replace coach and QB then i could see him asking for a trade. That sucks, especially for Steve Smith. He is so talented and not getting any younger, and the last three years have been a total disaster for him due to QB play.
Apparantley 3 teams inquired about him before the trade deadline and Hurney said no. Same with Dwill who is a free agent this year.what's his contract like? depending on the moves made in the offseason to replace coach and QB then i could see him asking for a trade. That sucks, especially for Steve Smith. Well we would have traded the draft pick for dozen day old donuts and quart of expired milk so it really doesn't matter.Apparantley 3 teams inquired about him before the trade deadline and Hurney said no. i'm debating a play for him in my dynasty league. almost any change of scenery would be good for smitty. there is no way in hell he stays with a re-tread coach and lame QB. after the past few years, he's too proud to waste the next few years on rebuilding.Apparantley 3 teams inquired about him before the trade deadline and Hurney said no. 5/8/2007: Signed a six-year, $43.85 million contract. The deal included a $9.3 million signing bonus, a $6 million roster bonus in the second year, and a $2 million roster bonus in the third. 2010: $5.75 million, 2011: $7 million, 2012: $7.75 million, 2013: Free Agent
The way I understood it, Edwards is simply going to be listed as the emergency 3rd string quarterback. They are still using him like a WR, but he's available at QB if he's needed. He will most likely continue to be inactive, only now he can play QB if Clausen and Pike both get injured.Just heard on local radio...A. Edwards being switched from WR to QB immediately.
