Eight head coaching jobs open and New Orleans has to be one of the most least desirable openings right now. Are there even eight head coaching candidates worth an NFL job? You'd have to figure that the Saints would be on the bottom of anybody's list. It's not like Benson is going to step up to the plate and offer a coach more money to lure him the New Orleans. They are going to have to give some unqualified coach a three year contract and hope for the best (come to think of it, I guess that's what they do every hiring). Maybe they would have been better served just keeping Haslett one more year and then hope there weren't too many openings next season. At least their situation might be more settled by then.
