My bet is they add msg and other similar things in abundance.

- McDonald's® updated 03-11-13
- Although McDonald's has "cleaned their labels" of added MSG, they overuse autolyzed yeast, hydrolyzed protein, and natural flavors which they admit contain wheat and dairy hydrolysates (thanks to the allergen labeling law) - which contain free glutamate and act exactly like MSG.Angus Beef Seasoning
Big Mac sauce
Ranch dressings and dipping sauces
Most Chicken Products including
Chicken McNuggets
Chicken Selects
Crispy Chicken Filet
Chili Lime Tortilla Strips
Hash Browns
French Fries - the "seasoning" added to the oil the fries are precooked in contains hydrolzyed wheat and milk
The "seasoning" is made from beef, wheat and milk, processed to break down the proteins into free amino acids like glutamate. US laws allow "natural flavoring" to consist of "protein hydrolysates" containing free glutamic acid. That's why they do it - to free glutamate to act like MSG so they can declare a "clean label" while misleading the consumer.
Two disturbing things about McDonald's menu is the copious use of phosphates - a food additive that was widely used to prepare before a colonoscopy but is now not used because it was found to damage the kidneys. It pulls water from the body and can cause diarrhea. Also, hydrogenated fats were everywhere on this menu. McDonalds may be bragging about cleaning up their labels by hiding MSG, but they have a long way to go to get off this avoid list.
Don't just take our word for it. Here is the latest McDonalds

I have not seen this advertied yet and am not certain it is nationwide yet.good to knowStopped in a McD's this weekend and they had a completely new price structure. You could buy a Sandwich for a reasonable price and then add 1 side for a $1 or 2 sides for $1.50. Was able to get a BigMac, Med Coke, Med fry for $4.71, which is the price point they should be at. Would have been nearly $7 on the old value meal plan.
This sounds like a bad idea.To turn around the U.S. unit, the company is shelving some menu items to reduce complexity, creating a build-your-own sandwich platform and focusing its advertising its efforts on stressing the quality of its food to consumers.
Whoa.Filet o Fishes
2 fish patties in the same sandwich.. Game changer

So this morning I am pulling out of a parking lot where our local McDonalds is located. On their sign it says, "We are lovin Foutan"
Now mind you, this is located in Fountain!!! You want $15.00 an hour and you can't spell the name of the city you work in??
What's with all the odd numbers? 26 cents? 44 cents? Talk about a nightmare for the cashiers back then. Well. Cashiers who have math skills like me, anyway.you might be onto somethingGetzlaf15 said:
First thing I thought of too. It's really an insane concept.so wanting people to be nice and happy is commendable and all but consider the folloiwing scenarios
so like what if a customer rolls up and orders a couple double quarter pounders and the cashier says "oh your payment today is that you just have to call your dad up and tell him you love him!! " but the customer's dad died four days ago from cancer, or the customer's dad abused the #### out of him as a child
or the cashier is like "to pay for your mc chickens you need to promise to give your family hugs!!" but the customer was abandoned as an infant and was raised by the state and is a violent emotionless sociopath
The idea is riddled with pitfalls imo.
They left Iceland in 2009.Apparently this is the solution:

McDonald's pulls out of Iceland
it was before the 70s inflation hit when a penny meant something. You could get a full size candy bar for 5 cents or several pieces of most "penny candy" for a penny. What's with all the odd numbers? 26 cents? 44 cents? What cost $.65 (Big Mac) in 1972 would cost $3.63 in 2014.Getzlaf15 said:
Now that a penny in 1972 is worth 5.6 pennies today I think it's time to retire the penny.it was before the 70s inflation hit when a penny meant something
Chipotle CEO: McDonald's Chicken farm "absolutely the most disgusting thing he’d ever seen in his life."
When it's not possible they get it from McDonald's chicken farm. While Ells does not describe precisely what he saw on the farm, it ultimately fortified Chipotle’s vision of Food With Integrity -- which today includes sustainably raised, organic and locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible.
Doubtful. They just stopped serving their carnitas because of the or suppliers practices.Chipotle CEO: McDonald's Chicken farm "absolutely the most disgusting thing hed ever seen in his life."When it's not possible they get it from McDonald's chicken farm. While Ells does not describe precisely what he saw on the farm, it ultimately fortified Chipotles vision of Food With Integrity -- which today includes sustainably raised, organic and locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible.

Now the only thing Chipotles needs to do is staff more people especially during peak hours. I feel like I'm in a theme park line during the holiday season. Good thing for Chipotles, back thing for their customers.Doubtful. Like to a different Chipotle? It's simple, if Chipotle has long lines I go somewhere else.
McDonald's Facebook campaign enrages Mexican tamale fans

We have seen it before - if there is one thing people should think twice about, it is messing with popular food.
It happened to Jamie Oliver when he launched his version of the West African classic and it is happening now with McDonald's and Mexican tamales.
This week the fast food chain decided to launch a Facebook campaign urging Mexicans to leave their beloved tamales in the past and embrace McBurritos instead. Predictably, it backfired.
"How dare you insult a beautiful tradition. I'd rather eat tamales than your disgusting food," Damian Bracho commented.
The image of a McBurrito, a sort of scrambled egg in a tortilla wrap, accompanied by the slogan "Tamales are a thing from the past", was soon removed from the company's Facebook page.
About 650 tweets targeted McDonald's account in this vein: "Don't mess with tamales because #YaMeCanse [i am tired]," wrote one user. "Lack of sensitivity by McDonald's Mexico for a country's tradition, terrible marketing taste," another user, Javier Hidalgo, said.
Others shared images of tamales and other food.
Tamale fan Villa Zapata Fco Emi shared this photo of the traditional dish![]()
Francisco Guerrero asked why one of the chain's hamburgers was small compared to the size of the bun.![]()
Within hours, McDonald's got the message. It not only took down the offending image but it also published a statement apologising for the campaign. "McDonald's respects the traditions and beliefs of all countries where we have the opportunity to do business. That is why on our menus we include local dishes (…) we apologise to all of the people who felt offended by our post, which was removed from all of our social media sites."
We've asked them for further comment - and we'll let you know if we hear back."

So nobody is that impressed that the guy who played the Hamburglar, Jerry Maren, is the last surviving cast member from the Wizard of Oz (made in 1939)?Bring back the Hamburglar as he's still alive but that's not his claim to fame....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Maren
