Darren McFadden will undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, and is out at least 2-4 weeks.

Adding injury to insult. McFadden is coming off easily the worst game (seven touches, -2 yards) of his career against what had been the league's 32nd ranked run defense. His loss will vault Michael Bush and Justin Fargas up the depth chart, but it's unclear which will start. Bush got just three carries in Week 4 to Fargas' 10. The Raiders play the Giants, Eagles, and Jets in their next three games, so no Oakland back will be a good fantasy option. Oct. 5 - 5:27 pm et

There is no reason to delete this. The injury is important enough to make a new thread, mainly because everyone may not read the regular McFadden thread. Any really important news like this should have its own thread.

I had a dynasty trade in place to trade Sanchez and McFadden for Brady last week, and the other owner backed out after making me that offer. Sanchez' -1 points was insulting. Now McFadden is hurt.

I guess that's "adding injury to insult".

DMC was supposed to come of age in that Houston game. Or so it was predicted. I guess he drank the Kool-aid. Also, the Carolina offense has disappointed. He had WR depth and I had RB depth. I'm not. Mostly because there's no RB on waivers with any value. McFadden will be back about the same time Gallery will. He's also going to be out for a stretch of great defenses. Keep him and hope he comes back with a purpose. Especially in PPR leagues.I don't any other OAK RB is worth having in the meantime. Not with the matchups they have on the schedule. NYG, Philly, NYJ = nasty

Does it matter? As long as Fatty is the QB Fargas isn't seeing my lineup. Id even put Brandon Jackson in the lineup over Fargas. That way i wont get negative points.

I'm dropping him for a bag of peanuts in a 12 team league redraft. I'd rather take a chance on someone else who might contribute the next 4 weeks. Our league has a short bench and I have some upcoming bye week issues to deal with...
