McGahee (1 Viewer)

For those of us who waivered whether to start or bench him hopefully chose the later and benched him. He had too many negatives going into the game with Troy Smith making his 1st start and the probability of the Ravens falling behind big in the game. I know he was injured in the game but he was going to do nothing worthwhile anyway with the Ravens getting blown out in the game.

This goes to show you that you cant live and die with your studs. You need to play the matchups and to a certain degree the weather as many Brady owners learned last week. Luckily I had Kolby Smith as a viable alternative to McGahee and started him. Hopefully others benched him also.

lost FWP and mcgahee this week but still up by 11 with gates left vs his min Def. Would much rather have some points from FWP or mcgahee but hasnt quite killed me yet

I had McGahee in because I don't bench studs because of an unfavorable match up.

If I did that, I wouldn't have had him in on the Monday night game against NE when he had one of his best games.

Oh well.

Even though the Pats have been ranked around #10 against RBs all season it wasn't an unfavorable matchup for McGahee if you look at the factors in the game. It was a primetime game when many teams get up for the game, especially to try and break the Pats streak. Also you have to realize that the Pats stats against the run are skewed because they have been blowing teams out all season, forcing teams to abandon the run. Today was unfavorable mainly because Troy Smith was making his 1st start in a hostile enviroment.

McGahee killed me... started him over the Bears AP.

I'm down 14 with Elam to go because of it..... if Willie Mc does not get hurt I would probably only be down 5 or so with a nice shot to win...

oh well... tis the fantasy season.

Your hindsight appears to be 20/20. Congrats.I only wish you had brought your wisdom to the ACF to help this poor sod:

I disagree some with your comments. In the Monday night game, you ran the risk of McGahee being relatively useless by being way behind too early (which happened to many of the NE opponents). At that time, Boller had also been ineffective.Seattle has been up and down this season and I didn't see yesterday's game as a bad matchup, just a mediocre one. We'll never know as Willis was hurt so early.
