Mendenhall tonight (1 Viewer)

Mendenhall not having a very good night, I think this is a sign of things to come, his BMI is not that of a productive NFL back.Just for you EBF:
:fishing:He's doing fine. What were you expecting? 100 yards and a score in the first half?
He did manage to bring his yearly YPC up to 3.0 from 2.8 with a 3.3 YPC tonight. At least with that high BMI, he should prove to be durable. ;) Look at the bright side, he didnt fumble.

Hey, well at least he's more durable than McFadden... Oh wait, nevermind...Well at least he doesn't have a pathetic 5.7ypc.... Oh wait, nevermind :lmao:

Thoughts on Mendenhall the rest of the year, assuming his injury is minor.....?
Doesnt look very good, he is almost worthless in redraft.
That's kind of what I'm thinking, but I have him and wondered if I am looking at it objectively.
Hold him if you can. If Parker's injury is severe and Mendenhall's is minor then he may still have some value. If his injury is serious and Willie's is minor then his value is very limited. I wouldn't get my hopes up in redraft.

Tomlin said in his post-game conference that Mendenhall "has a left shoulder fracture, he'll be placed on IR."

The Steelers will most certainly look to bring another back in, who will it be?

Cedric Benson and Rashard Mendenhall are practically the same guy, maybe him?

thought he actually looked very good tonight especially considering it being his first start and a tough defense. any word on the timeline and recovery on a fractured shoulder?

He's IR'd. Won't be coming back this season.

Hihgly unlikely that the Steelers will be signing Cedric Benson, Shaun Alexander or any other smacked a#@%# of their ilk, so you can forget that. They'll probably just activate Gary Russell, sign some street level FA to be the #4 for a week, and turtle until week 7 when Parker is due back.

I did too. I paid very close attention to his pass blocking particularly. I rewound pretty much every single time he was in for pass protection to see how he did. He allowed Ben to get sacked once, but Ben was tied up with Ray Lewis at the time and should've gotten rid of the ball a lot sooner, but he was tied up and Mendy's blocking assignment helped finish him off, but Ben was going down either way.He had some nice runs as well. Albeit it was a pileup at the line just about every time he ran up the gut. I thought he showed a lot of promise for a kid in his first start on MNF and against the Ravens...
