I heard that we get's healthy the Chargers will release and he can play for another team this year, is he worth keeping on a deep roster? Other than Phillips who is going to benefit with him out of the lineup?

same as it has been for the Chargers. English should eventually take over but I think he's been dinged

I think Merriman is mostly done. I wouldn't consider him unless its a big-play league

Is this just a matter of post-'roids Merriman sucking or is there something else at work here with the Chargers?

Nagging injuries that Merriman couldn't get over. He got busted for roids in 2006 and then proceeded to have an All Pro year in 2007 with 12.5 sacks. He then tore up his knee and hasn't really been healthy since.
