Morning all,

Looking for some help with MFL and leagues in general.

If moving from a 16 team to 14 team league on MFL do you simply change the number of franchises in the general set up to 14. If so how can you choose which teams to remove?

2. What do you find the best way to run a 14 team league is in terms of breakdown. 2 three team divisions and 2 four team divisions, 2 seven team divisions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

As for divisions, I'd go with two 7 team divisions.

The first question is kind of vague.

Did 2 owners quit?

Is this a redraft?

Are you forcing 2 owners out and trying to determine who goes? (unlikely)

This was supposed to be a 16 team dynasty startup between some friends (just a fun league, league fees just to cover cost of entry). 13 people have paid me already but 3 haven't returned emails/calls for a while after initially agreeing to join. I have one guy on reserve who is ready to pay and the rest of the guys just want to get started. If I don't hear back shortly I wanted to cut the remaining guys and move to 14 teams, it's not ideal as I'd have to re-do a lot of the league but it seems like a quick solution. Was just wondering what would happen if I simply moved the no of franchises to 14.Also, what makes you say 2 7 team divisions, how would you split the schedule for that?Thanks for the response.

I'd personally just go with the 13 guys who've paid and the reserve who's willing.

I'm in one 14 team (two 7 team divisions) league, with 4 teams from each division making the playoffs (1 division winner and 3 wild card teams). We play every team within the same division twice and 2 other random teams in the other division. In order to do this, we play a doubleheader in week 3, and hold our playoffs in weeks-14-16.

I think your first step would be to delete the franchises. This is on the commish setup screen toward the bottom left. After that, just change to 14 teams on the main setup page.

I commish a 14 team auction league. We simply have 1 division, where everyone plays every team once (13 week reg season). Top 6 teams make the playoffs, top 2 teams get byes in week 14. Week 13 winners play top 2 seeds in week 15, winners play for championship in week 16.
