mfl waivers set up (1 Viewer)

Binky The Doormat

Footballguy
Any possibility of a pm from a knowledgable and helpful fbgs? I have been on the mfl boards a bit but haven't been able to make much progress. I am willing to pay if that helps.

Here is what I am trying to set up.

Waiver every Tuesday night - pick up one player with"Worst-to-first" order. Same thing on Wednesday night as well. we want players dropped on Tuesday to be available on the Wednesday waiver.

We then want to start fcfs waivers Thursday through each player's kick off that week.

Help please ...anyone?

hi binky,

i am not 100% sure on this, but try the following:

under your commish setup, on the bottom right hand side you will see all the waiver options section.

first step go the the league calender link and click on that.

you will see "schedule an event"

*enter "waiver request" (this i believe ranks them from worst to first unless otherwise stated)

*enter the date and times for this event (month/day/year/time)

*so, for example if september 3rd is a tuesday, enter that date and specify the times you want it open to (6 pm-11 pm as an example)

*you will then see an area where it says something along the lines of allow this event to happen for the next amount of weeks at this date and time, meaning if you want it every week on tuesday at 6 pm- 11 pm for the next 12 weeks, you would select that.

you will then save that and select another event and enter waiver request and do the same for wednesday entering all the above.

when finished there, save that.

you will then go back to the league calender and seelect first come first served waivers and ener all the above again with dates, times, etc, then save that.

when you have finished with your calender double check that to make sure everything is right.

the go back to commish setup and click the waiver/free agent setup.

there you will see the area where you never lock players or have them locked to the next free agent period, or set amount of days, etc.

select what you want and save.

you also want to make sure that you lock player from being pick up after the start of their game.

hope that helps you out some bud.

good luck.

edit to add that there is also an area on how many moves to be allowed and you will need to set that to 1.

Tks - this gives me another avenue to try. Just going to the pages options under the waivers set up isn't getting it for me.

Yes, I always use the calendar setup for it. Very easy, just specify start and end and how many times you want it to recur. Will have to go into the waiver options page them for things like how long a player is locked.

First time commissioner at MFL. Just moved my league there from CBS and I'm trying to mirror the waiver set up that we had there. I'm trying to set up the following: Waivers processed on Wed AM; Locked players are on waivers for 2 days after the player is dropped and treated separately from free agents; Prevent Owners From Making FCFS Waivers/Free Agent Moves Between Kickoff of that player's game and the end of the last game of the week but allow them to add/drop free agents on players who are unlocked during those games

If anyone has their MFL calendar set up with similar settings, that would be a huge help.

Thanks in advance.

I'm new to MFL commissioner-ing this year also. Moved over from CBS as well.

I can't get to MFL from work to show you but I think I have it setup like you want.

This reply is my blackdot - to remember to post the settings when I can

That would be awesome - I will drop you a PM. Would love to talk. Its kinda spooking me. Having this blow up the first couple of weeks would suck tremendously.

Oops - sorry mine is a tad different but I'll post what I have anyway when I can.I'm totally expecting this. I'll have to write them down the first week. I did everything manually on CBS

Here is what I have

No Waivers Allowed Sun Sep 2 1:00:00 p.m. ET 2012 until Mon Sep 3 10:45:00 p.m. ET 2012 (Happens 16 more weeks.) Edit Delete

Waiver Request Mon Sep 3 11:00:00 p.m. ET 2012 until Wed Sep 5 7:00:00 p.m. ET 2012 (Happens 16 more weeks.) Edit Delete

First Come, First Served Waivers Wed Sep 5 8:00:00 p.m. ET 2012 until Sun Sep 9 1:00:00 p.m. ET 2012 (Happens 16 more weeks.)

Basically it's this.

No waivers from Sunday 1pm to Monday 10:45. I can probably get rid of this since I assume MFL won't allow a pickup of a player playing. This is basically to lock transactions for a 4 oclock game.

We do a waiver request based on waiver order that is a "use" order.

Then First Come First Serve from Wednesday at 8 till Kickoff.

Followed your guidelines and have it set up. Not sure it will go the way we hope but we will see. I really appreciate the help. I am looking right now for the page that allows you to block guys from being picked up after their kickoff until the following week though ...ETA: found the block to prevent guys being picked up after their games start.
