Michael Scott over George Costanza/Tony Soprano? Insanity! (1 Viewer)

Putting many of these characters up against each other is silly. How do you even compare?

I can see a Stewie vs Cartman matchup but then the winner goes up against winner of Jack Bauer vs Fox Mulder? Tony Soprano vs Urkel? Really?

Why do they have two women from Sex and the City amongst 62 guys?

Why is Mr. Belding in a different region than the two dudes from boy meets world?

Only 1 person from IASIP?

Multiple issues with this one. I loved BB, but Jesse over Dexter? Not for me.

Jack Bauer losing to that fatass Cartman!

Admittedly, I dont know some of the characters. :kicksrock:

Homer Simpson got matched in a tough region, but he still should have made it to E8 at least.
Yea, who is this Larry David ####### who is taking out all the good characters starting with the always money Ari Gold in the first round.

I had to Google who Michael Scott was. For real.
Same. Should be nowehere near the final. Mike Ehrmantrout should've come out of that region.
LOL at the guy living so far under a rock that he knows nothing of Michael Scott simultaneously weighing in with who should win instead. Maybe you should sit this discussion out and watch some episodes of The Office instead?

no thanks.

Same here. Awful, awful show
The bracket was bad, but you are just way wrong here.
It's one of those things we'll never agree on. I've tried to watch 4 or 5 episodes and couldn't get through it. The camerawork for one thing drives me insane and I see it has infiltrated its way into other shows like Modern Family. Shake, shake ZOOM-IN.. Shake, shake ZOOM-IN. Doesn't that make the comedy funnier.

I'm judging all of you who don't think Michael Scott was at least somewhat humorous. #notebookopen

It's a mock-u-mentry like Spinal Tap. The camera stuff doesn't bother me, the show is just hillarious. You don't like awkward humor?

I tried a few times and never could get into it. Love Carrell in all sorts of other things he's done. But you pegged it for me at least... I don't like a lot of awkward humor. I just end up cringing as much as I laugh.

How the heck does Mike Ehmentraut get in this bracket at all? Breaking Bad was a great show but man it has become way overrated.

The only representative from TWD is a #14 seed. I don't even know who some of these people are and Rick's a 14?
I had to Google that guy.

Along with the Sons of Anarchy guy and the Homeland chick.
You had to google Rick Grimes? I mean I get some of the other names are principal characters from older shows and have maybe slipped from recollection, but surprised anyone who frequents message boards on the Internet doesn't recognize the name. I guess I can understand recognizing the character or his existence but perhaps not picking up just on the name. Once you googled it, you were probably, "Like, oh yeah, the Sheriff guy on the Walking Dead commercials." Right? RIGHT?!?!

Walter White has to be a double digit favorite in the final. May have to parlay with next month's Yacht Rock Bracket to make any real money.

No, didn't even know there was a sheriff. I literally tune out when anything Walking Dead appears. Not trying to insult the show, it's just that zombie-based shows/movies/books/comics don't interest me at all. Same with vampires.

I guess my point was that fans of shows with the people you don't recognize probably feel the same way about their entrants.

I can kind of see it.

I love Omar, hell my dog is named after Omar, but as an overall character, I'd take Scott.

Never could get into the Sopranos, so I got no problem with that.

Costanza is the tough one, but I could see it.

IMO, The Office is one of the 5 best comedies of all-time, and I'm not sure a single character of the comedies in that conversation were as important to their show as Scott was to The Office. His performance over that run was simply brilliant.

The biggest travesties here (and there are many) are Ron Swanson and Vic Mackey not making it out of the first round.
