Michael Turner vs. the Vikings (1 Viewer)

Just reported on KFAN in Minneapolis that Pat Williams is out 2-6 weeks woth a fractured scapula.
:shock:
;) I wonder if he can serve at least part of the suspension he is contesting since he will miss time anyway, without jeopardizing his legal claims?
This would be the height of hypocrisy. Goodell would laugh him out of the room and tack on an extra game for next season.Start Turner w/o any reservations now.
I'm sorry, can you explain how it is "hypocrisy" to limit his exposure in the event he loses in court and the suspension is upheld? IMHO, this should come down to whether or not other suspensions have been allowed to be served while a player is recovering from injury. If others have done this, Pat should be allowed to do so also.
I'm guessing that Pat still wants to somehow win this thing or he's out quite a bit of money.. Not sure he wants to just fork over his paychecks since he can't play any way..

I have been riding Turner as my #1 back all year and that will not stop. He got the job by falling to rd 5 in my league when I went QB and 3WR to start draft. Now he and Slaton are pulling the wagon into the playoffs as the top seeded team.

I don't see Pat agreeing to serve any of the suspension, unless it looks like the absolute last, best option (or he doesn't have any choice)....

suspension = not getting paid

So before the injury he is telling Goodell (by getting a judge to stop the suspension) that he is innocent. Now that he's injured and missing 2 games, you're suggesting for him to turn around and effectively admit guilt is somehow not hypocritical? That to serve the suspension when it's convenient for him is somehow not hypocritical? Wouldn't this be like getting convicted of something and having the audacity to tell the judge you'll serve the time on YOUR terms?

Awesome dude, who is your QB and WR's? And what is your league's scoring system?

Brees, TO, Boldin, Jennings. Had 12 pick as I won the league.Distance scoring for TDs: 1-9yds 6pts, 10-39yds 9pts, 40+yds 12ptsYardage pts: WR 100yds=10pts, 1pt every 10yds afrer for RecYds. 50yds rushing =5pts 1pt for every 10 after.RB 100yds=10pts, 1pt every 10yds afrer for Rsh Yds. 50yds receiving =5pts 1pt for every 10 after.QB 250yds passing, 1pt every 10yds after. Get the same 50 pt goal for rushing and receiving as above listed.Have played this format for over ten years and this was the first year I let the RB spot go so late. I picked Gates up on the swing with Turner. I missed with guys like Mendenhal and Kenny Watson. Ricky Williams and Sammy Morris gave me some depth. I toll 5 RBs in a row in the middle of the draft and that worked out to give me options.I got really laughed after the draft, but 10-4 and top points in the league changed that tune now,

The Minnesota Vikings have arguably the top run defense in the NFL. They also are the top defense against power runners. They rank #1 in the NFL at stuffing the run on second-and-short and third-and-short. I think this is the epic aspect of this game. Its one of the top power runners in the NFL vs the top power run defense in the NFL. I'm very interested in this game for that reason. It'll tell us a whole lot about both teams.

Besides how bad it would look - Pat would be giving up (possibly) two playoff games - games that he could ultimately be back for so there is no way this would happen.

No doubt, although that was with Pat Williams. His absence could change things.

I'm benching Portis and going with Pierre, Forte and Turner this week. I have Colston and Shockey too-time to start all my Saints.

I've been hearing on Sirius that Jared Allen could miss this game, too. He was a limited participant yesterday, and Minny team site lists him as questionable.
