Middle and Late Round ADP Buys/Sells - Round 8 (1 Viewer)

This is the fourth part of an eight part series where we dissect current MFL PPR ADP by round.  List who one guy you're buying at the current price and one guy you're selling.  Here's what the 8th round (12-teamer) currently looks like.

8.1

Abdullah, Ameer DET RB

8.2

Eifert, Tyler CIN TE

8.3

Crabtree, Michael OAK WR

8.4

Rivers, Philip SDC QB

8.5

Broncos, Denver DEN Def

8.6

Ertz, Zach PHI TE

8.7

Carr, Derek OAK QB

8.8

Thomas, Julius JAC TE

8.9

Jennings, Rashad NYG RB

8.1

Shepard, Sterling NYG WR

8.11

White, Kevin CHI WR

8.12

Henry, Derrick TEN RB

Buy:  Not feeling a ton of value here.  Crabtree is probably the most likely to outperform ADP.

Sell:  Shepard - I like his talent, but don't expect him to have gangbuster production right out of the gate.

Buy: Rashad Jennings. Not getting many starting RBs who will get plenty of touches at this point.

Sell: Any defense. Kevin White - Reports indicate he isnt doing great so far in his young career.

Buy: Crabtree - He has could be your WR3 for an 8th round price tag. Raider offense has a ton of upside this season, so why not take a chance on Crabtree in the 8th? If he's your WR4, you're sitting pretty good.

Sell: Denver - The obvious choice really. No need to take a defense this early.

I will add that the 8th round is where it starts becoming interesting in drafts. By this point, the WRs are really starting to thin out and the RB depth just isn't there either. Not a bad spot to take a QB or TE, IMO.

Buy Crabtree - should be a usable WR3 or FLEX, especially during bye weeks.

Sell Eifert - TD-dependent last year, and will miss 4-6 games. Too many TEs you can get later at a better price.

Buy: Rashad Jennings. Not getting many starting RBs who will get plenty of touches at this point.

Sell: Any defense. Kevin White - Reports indicate he isnt doing great so far in his young career.

And I actually like Shepard around this spot. Yes, he's a rookie and rookie WRs tend to get overdrafted. But Eli seems to be flourishing in McAdoo's new offense, and last year Rueben Randle put up an 800/8 stat line as their #2 WR. Eight months later, a healthy Rueben Randle can't get hired at a car wash! If that bum delivered low-end WR3 numbers in that offense, it's tough to think Shepard's being overvalued as a high-end WR4.

I think starting in Round 8 you can throw ADP out the window and just draft guys you like.

Buy - Abdullah, Should have weekly play value.  Could be a solid RB2 if he puts it all together this year.

        -  Sims

       - Crowell

Buy:  Crabtree, Carr, Jennings, Abdullah (I would be happy to take any of these in the 8th round)

Sell:  Denver, Eifert, Thomas, White (Defense, Injuries, Rookie WR with no preseason buzz and Royals getting healthy; and the talented, but underwhelming Julius Thomas)

A round or two too early for my taste, but I still like these guys: Henry, Thomas
