Mike and the Mad Dog show (Not Done!) (2 Viewers)

Mike Francesca is a perfect archetype of the dumb blow-hard wannabe know-it-all that we've all encountered. However there's a certain flavor of 'that guy' that's specific to NYC and the surrounding suburbs. Every conversation seems like something that could happen in a Staten Island firehouse or a Westchester County sports bar. It's fascinating and I just can't look away.

I can usually catch the last 10 minutes on my drive home from the train station. After the Super Bowl for a week straight it was calls about the interception play that ended the game. I imagine that he discussed that play repeatedly with callers for at least 20 hours that week.

"Discussed".

It was nice of Mike to try to correct that nice man's childhood memory of going to Yankee stadium. As usual, he was colossally wrong and didn't have the balls to admit it once he knew.

Video to come tonight.

Mushnick's column today:

On Wednesday, speaking with — and often over — Villanova coach Jay Wright, Sitting Bull vividly recalled the Wildcats’ 1985 championship run game against Dayton: “58-58, 30 seconds left; remember it to this day!” He loudly repeated it: 58-58, 30 seconds left.To the tune of Benny Hill’s theme music, someone followed Francesa’s claim, as videotaped off FOX Sports 1, with that game’s box score: Villanova 51, Dayton 49.
