I just picked up Mike Bell hoping maybe he signs somewhere and gets a chance to compete for a back-up spot (we increase our rosters during the off-season/preseason). Do you think he has any value in a dynasty? What about this year (if he gets signed). Or was he just a product of the Denver system - ie does he really have some talent?

doubtful he'll get picked up, and even if he did manage to find a team interested, there's NO way he learns a new offense in a month well enough to get on the field (even in pre-season).

best case for him is to land on someone's practice squad and maybe get a shot @ next season.

I'm dropping in my dynasty @ roster cut downs - regardless of where he may end up. (24 slots only). not sure I'd even hang on to him @ this point w/ deeper rosters since there has been absolutely no news of interest or team visits since his release.

crazier things have happened but I wouldn't hold out much hope. If it's not costing you anything take a shot but my gut watching him was that he was nothing special and was in the right place at the right time....

Bell will have a workout with the Texans on Friday with a couple of other RBs according to the Houston Chronicle. Any value that he has will be largely situational versus his bringing a unique skill set to the job.

Just saw on the ticker @ NFLN that Mike Bell was SIGNED by the Texans. (no link available)

Not sure if he'll make the final roster - especially coming into camp this late, but at least it's Kubiak's system and should be similar to Denver's.

Mike Bell to the Texans. Heard that Chris Brown still has injury issues. Texans have a pot full of RBs now, good luck sorting all that out.
