Mike Sims-Walker (1 Viewer)

He's so good, he got three feet down!
He's been causing a few Titans to drop their third leg holders...That call was amusing. "three feet down".Right call though. The announcers were morons. "keeping possesion to the ground" doesn't include a db getting to swipe away the ball after you are on your back in the endzone

I love it as a Sims-Walker owner, but as a Titans fan I find it depressing right now.

TD, wow, get into this guy!
Again! 5-62-2 at the half. I'd say this day is a success. Move over Calvin, AJ, Fitz, Randy... LOL (OK, I'm kidding, but I'm having some fun here today!)
You earned it. Drinks on me if you ever come in to Atlanta. :hot:
Same here, we'll get you good & drunk...

At halftime Sims-Walker has 5 rec 62yrds and 2 TD's. I think we can say he is a respectabel #2 WR in most leagues. He has been consistant for 3 weeks now.

Double dipping with Garrard and MSW today since Matt Ryan has his bye. :thumbup:Love it.
Triple-dipper here. Garrard/MJD/MSW for pretty decent numbers. (What's up today with Jones-Drew, though? Weak numbers so far...)
Same here. If you would've told me I'd be starting 3 Jaguars skill players in Week 3 and 4 before the season, I would've just started drinking right then to prepare for the long season. Working out great though.

i'm thinking of trading some WR depth for an upgrade at RB. not sure who i'm taretting yet, but i have

r moss

c johnson

s smith (NYG)

msw

p garcon

would you rather keep MSW or s smith. both are hot and i might be able to package one and get a good wr#2. i'm just torn between which one to trade away. not sure about the eli injury either...

They said if they needed Eli to come back he could have. Keeping him out was precautionary.

when did he add sims to his nameconsider me a non-believer. glassman
If healthy, guy will produce.
Glad you came back and grabbed him at least one league, right?Guy may not be the next Moss, but he sure has some talent and plenty of opportunity. Just needs to stay healthy, looks like he is the goods.
oh I did gab him. LOL hey if he stays healthy Im all aboard, unlike most on this board, I can admit when Im wrong

I caught up on the hype late--never heard of MSW prior to this season --but I snagged in my $$$$ league as he posted his first big week because of all the hype in this thread.. and have started him the last 2.

I'd like to thank whoever (CouchPotato, etc) pumped this guy for throwing it out there and making a great call... he's a great pickup.

So was MSW doubled or was coverage rolled to him today? If so then he's def. a must have. If not, how do you think he'll do once he gets wr1 treatment by defenses?

I have to say, I am so happy for this kid right now. He's been dealt some pretty serious blows with injuries and personal issues in his brief career, but has battled back so strong. It's so nice to see a Jaguars receiver flourish. It's been a while since any Jaguars fan can say that.

Glad I started him this week. Right now, because of him, I'm down only 3.8 with Crosby still to play for me. Without him, I'd be sunk.

Don't like the O Line news this morning. Edwards gets the nod....
Haven't scrolled down to read the thread, so probably not the first, but just want to give you my condolences.
Thanks for your condolences. Today was 100% :tfp: I guess that's what you get for overthinking things. :lmao:I still haven't gotten the scoop on what happened to Braylon :lmao: . He at least should have picked up some points in garbage time, but instead got the big 0. :popcorn:Hopefully it won't cost the the win this week, but as far as a call goes, this one was awful. :bag:MSW won't likely see the bench again for a while....

Just how injury prone is this guy? I'd never heard of him until picking him up a couple weeks ago because of this thread. Also, how have opposing defenses been covering him? Might this be a case of a new guy taking opposers by surprise and then them eventually adjusting and game planning to take MSW out and make Holt beat them?

Am I going to get kicked off the bandwagon for considering selling high? With Pierre Thomas looking strong I might try to package some RB depth along with him for a WR upgrade.

well, I guarantee that Holt was not getting double coverage... he's no longer good enough to warrant it.I think hes the real deal. There's noone else to throw to, so they have to put their top corner on him.

They haven't been covering him very well.
My point exactly. It may be time to sell high before defenses do start covering him well, double covering perhaps.Depending on how tomorrow goes I bet I could get Greg Jennings for MSW and not much more.
I think that what Mr. Brownstone was saying is that he's been able to beat all the coverages he's faced (hence the "he's a talent"). That's my take on it, anyway.

I imagine defenses are loading the box to stop MJD, when they do, they hit Sims-Walker since he's got single coverage. That's what the Giants are doing with S. Smith.

this is my impression too, although none of the jags' games have been on TV in my area

I rarely drink any kool-aid on guys brought up in here, but for some reason I did on MSW. Started him the last two weeks. ;)

My receiving corp now consists of Megatron, Wayne, Welker and MSW with Carlson and Heap as TE. Not too shabby.

Thanks CP!!!
