Mike Vick (1 Viewer)

I have the guy in a dynasty league and I am not looking to cut him. Gonna wait and see. I am pretty sure that he won't play this year and will likely go on my IR. But I am also one of those that thinks he very well may be done in the NFL. But I'm not going to cur him just because I have a gut feeling he's done. If I IR the guy I gain my roster spot back.

I also would not trade him now as he will be at an all time low....
 is he hurt too??

If Vick gets suspended more than a year, or gets banned from the NFL for life, then I'll cut him.

Otherwise, I'm hanging on to him. Beats the crap outta most #4 QBs.

Edited to add: And for those guys talking about wasting a roster spot on a zero... look, if you're down to your #4 QB, your season is pretty much over anyhow.

The people who are deluded the ones that think no one will be interested in Vick in two years. You forget how quickly the public sentiment moves on to something else.
Yeah, just like the public sentiment moved on to something else with O.J.

What? O.J. doesn't play football anymore, so there's no telling how the public would react to him if he were still productive. I think a better comparison would be Ray Lewis, who has proven that if you produce the public will forget about all sorts of "stains" on your reputation.

The degree of public outrage against Vick is about the same as it was with O.J., the public reaction to Ray Lewis was never anything even remotely close to this.O.J.'s broadcasting and movie career was finished even though he was found not guilty, if he had still been playing his NFL, his career would have been finished there as well.

Just like Ray Lewis's when he was found not guilty, right? :goodposting:
You edited out my prior line:"The degree of public outrage against Vick is about the same as it was with O.J., the public reaction to Ray Lewis was never anything even remotely close to this."Ray Lewis and Vick are an apples and oranges comparison.

What's the argument here? If you think he has ABSOLUTELY ZERO CHANCE OF EVER PLAYING AGAIN YOU SHOULD CUT HIM. Who cares what others think? If you can get something-anything for him in a trade then take it and run...if you believe he has an extremely small chance of ever playing in the NFL again but realize that no matter how slim those odds are there IS still a chance then grab him off the waiver or make some lowball offer to the Vick owner.

It's like drafting Priest Holmes. We all know the odds are that the player will never do anything of note in the NFL ever again but on the extremely small chance they do, the upside is greater than most other players.

i wanted to see how low Vick's value was in dynasty so I offered Vick for C. Henry(WR Cinny), it got rejected

 Little slow there aren't you. It's okay, one day it might just click for you..............I'm out.

As long as you have two good #1 and #2 QB....why would you not pick up Vick. We all know he has to sit a season but after that he has a better chance of seeing some playing time than holding on to back ups that may never see a starting job. I just traded Pennington, quinn, and 3rd rounder for D.Driver and Vick. It was an easy choice for me. Threw Vick on the Injured Reserve and am holding on to see what happens.

As far as that roster spot goes...... "I would rather have a BIG VICK than a little Weinke"
