This was my first time ever at training camp even though I've been living in Mankato for 5 years. I was lucky enough to be on the field for practice and Peterson walked right by us both times when he needed medical assistance. He was limping slightly but nothing to make anyone too worried. They stretched him out and he went back on the field. He came back to the trainers area about 5 minutes later and spent some time on the staionary bike. I wouldn't be too worried about anything. Whitaker was carted off the field and definitely looked more serious.Peterson scare
Take a deep breath, Viking fans. Adrian Peterson left the field at 10 a.m. and entered a trailer with head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman. But at 10:06, he rejoined his teammates on the sideline, although he looks to have some sort of leg injury. ... Oh, he just went back into the trailer. But I still don't think it's serious.

Peterson limps off field
Rookie running back Adrian Peterson limped off the field because of a left ankle injury this morning during the Vikings’ first practice. He was taken to a medical trailer, but later returned and was moving around, favoring the ankle.
Peterson appeared to be injured after an early drill, and left after a passing drill when he was tackled by Cedric Griffin.
Cornerback Ronyell Whitaker also left the field because of a left leg injury that appeared more serious. We’ll get you an update after practice.

Allison didn't practice this morning, not sure what was up with that.
Tarvaris made a few nice reads and passes but also held onto the ball too long a few times.
Zygi was just walking around on the field in a t-shirt and shorts, very discreet. When the trainers brought out the exercise balls he did some sit-ups which I thought was funny to see a billionaire just doing his thing.
We got a chance to talk to Birk on the field after practice and he was quite loquacious as normal.
Overall it was fun to watch and I think I'll try to make it a few more times.
I am not at all surprised with the comments about AP being the most electric player on the field. I can imagine the buzz there, because we had Barry here and it was a similar feeling. Just wondering what your opinion is regarding how much he plays. I just feel he is so good that once they realize just how good he is, they will HAVE to get him on the field a majority of the time. I can't imagine a talent like him not getting the majority of the work. Thoughts?

Is it just me or do we have a lot more nicks and bruises this year with a lot of players missing PT? For those who were in camp last year and this year, is Childress working them harder this year?
as I am really looking forward to watching the first quarter or so of tonights game.

or a good base for next season..
Pfft... Who is this guy? Being bitter is what Viking's fans do best. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to write yet another letter to Old Man Anderson for missing the field goal vs Atlanta. XXXXXX!!!!
