***MNF - Raiders at Lions*** (-8.0/46.0) (2 Viewers)

I guess I should revisit my opinion that the horse-collar tackle rule is garbage. The weak rule; the improper enforcement; etc.

Actually, I'm not going to bother. I'll just say, how many times do we see a HC penalty? A couple times per week, right? When is the last time you've seen an injury from it? 2007?

You're still wrong.

Given that it was banned as of 2006, this sounds like an endorsement of the rule.

Forget fantasy, Sam LaPorta is probably a top-5 NFL TE already.

This is looking like an amazing TE class so far. Kincaid looks great too (leading the league in catch %) and tied to Josh Allen.

Not sure what you mean...

My point is that these tackles still happen with regularity, but the injuries do not correlate.

But they likely occurred far more before they were banned, right? I'm indifferent to the rule myself.

I hate when franchises move and use their throwbacks from the other city.

Rubs me totally wrong.

Think Carolina in the NHL. As a former Whalers fan from Hartford, their nostalgia trip just sucks. I want to kick them when they do that. Same living owners. All living greed.
I loved seeing the Oilers throwbacks. It gave me a chance to talk to my 8yo about Warren Moon and that era.

That particular horsecollar was garbage. Spillane didn’t take him to the ground, he just spun him around.

They need to give that degrees, like they do roughing or running into the kicker, only it should be 0 penalty or 15.

But really, that QB line is inexcusable. It's not like you can take away the entire passing game.
On the last 3rd down where Jimmy was sacked, he instantly knew 6 were coming and he had no chance but I find it appalling there wasn't 1 single WR/TE/RB running a route into the middle of the field where everyone vacated. You just drop 2-3 steps and fire immediately

But all the receivers were running up the sidelines and deep routes.
You draw a play up, you have 2 WRs maybe going deeper or up the field and then you should have at least a slot receiver and possibly a RB that should be available for a hot route
