***Monday Night Football Doubleheader - Browns at Steelers*** (+2, 38) 8:15 Kickoff (1 Viewer)

Saw the Chubb replay.

Same knee as his last ACL injury.

Hate seeing that. His career may never be the same….that was brutal. Like Willis Mcgahee brutal.
I don't know if you've seen the reverse angle but it's in the thread. Warning very graphic. Point is, man is going to need a while before he can walk let alone play.
Yeah and the hit IMO was incredibly dirty. A 275-300 poind guy throws his entire body into his lower legs….just wow. I think that is insanely dirty. He quite possibly ended his career and he might not walk right again.
Minkah Fitzpatrick is not 275 lbs

I'm not gonna lie. As a Steelers fan, I'm not sure how I feel about this team winning this game. They have so many holes all over the field that big changes need to be made. A win like this is just enough of an excuse to keep management satisfied. They look like a God awful team with the exception of 2-3 players. A loss would be a good thing long term.
i get this sentiment, I really do. But it’s still better to win. Sometimes these issues take care of themselves.
Yup. I was legit rooting for them to lose. And I don't like that feeling. They're a really bad team that got lucky tonight thanks to some injuries.

I don’t think they’re really bad. There’s about 4 teams in the NFL that are really good, and about 4 teams that are really bad. The Steelers are somewhere in the middle.

I agree. I think Steelers fans have been spoiled by franchise excellence over the years and don't know what a true trash team feels like.

Oh it was Minkah….regardless 205 whatever the weight…..dirty as a mother of a hit.

Titans @ Browns week three. If Watson continues playing like this, 2 fumbles, an INT, two 15 yard facemask penalties, multiple throws out of bounds or uncathable, the dog pound will not be a happy place.

And to think Flores was pushing so hard for the Dolphins to trade for Watson in 2021……ooof.

You're right, and I'd say they're definitely closer to bad than good. Fortunately, they have a coach who's pretty sharp (though also stubborn) and I don't think being 1-1 is going to shield him from the truth. They know they have a lot to work on. But a division win is always preferable imo.

If any other qb was this much of a shell of himself like Watson, I would think this is sad but screw Watson. He must have distracted by all those towels waving around

As a Texans fan, I'm still pissed at Casserio for pulling out of the deal. He thought he could get more than the ridiculous bounty of picks Miami was offering (IIRC 3 1st and 2 2nds). One of the worst GMs in the league. Grateful for Cleveland though

I'm not going to argue with you, just sharing my opinion that I don't think it was dirty. With Chubb coming downhill near the goal line, chopping his legs out isn't a terrible/dirty way to tackle him. It's just horrible timing that his leg was planted along with another Steeler hitting him up high from the other side. I feel bad for Chubb and never want to see anyone get hurt so it sucks. Hitting a QB low is definitely dirty. And they've eliminated chop blocking because it's dangerous - I get it. But this was just a very unfortunate situation/timing/whatever.

In before the "you are only saying that because he's a Steeler" comments.

Correct non-call on the last play.

Defensive holding has to happen before the ball is in the air, if I am not mistaken.

Once the pass is in the air, it is either PI or nothing. Yes, the Steelers DB had a handful of jersey, but Watson's throw was so bad that the ball wasn't catchable, thus not a penalty.

Not that it matters. But Chubb is listed 20 pounds heavier that Minkah. It looked liked he was doing down then dove for the tackle but Chubb then got caught up high. I think I agree it wasn't an intentional dirty hit

Yeah, he should have politely tapped on his shoulder and asked him to fall down.

Dumbest post I have ever seen.

What Minkah did....totally not necessary. Guy was stood up........and at a stop....he flew in low at his legs....and while the timing was unfortunate.....this was an avoidable catastrophic injury.

And I am one who feels the game has been neutered on defense....but this? This was awful.

Dumber than the post that said it was a 275 pound guy who hit him? That's saying a lot.

He was never "at a stop", he was moving forward when he was hit. As a matter of fact, he continued to fall forward AFTER he was hit. And, besides, how many times has Chubb been "stood up" and churned the pile for another yard or two...or more? He did it several times last night in the brief period he played. If he's up, he needs to be tackled (especially when he's close to the endzone as he was on that play), and to tackle a back like him, you need to hit his legs.

That was not a tackle. Launching yourself full force into his legs with your entire backside is not tackling.

You want to wrap him up below the waste….yeah. But what he did was not tackling. It was insane.

We can agree to disagree.
