**Monday Night Football - Jets at Dolphins**(-2.5, 44.5) 7:15 (1 Viewer)

The Bears kind of did but that seemed like a function of the Bears' offense
Disagree.

Dennis Allen has been a homerun of a DC hire. He has a depleted roster yet has schemed well and gotten everyone playing hard.

Okay. They've given up the most rushing yards in the league, the most first downs by rush, the highest YPC in the league . . .

If DVOA was not behind a paywall these days then I think we could have a better discussion. I don't agree with you at all. It's cool, though.

Weaver deserves criticism for not giving help to Rasul, even though the coverage was good. Ryan Clark pointed it out twice. Last year, Weaver did a good job.

The fantasy appeal of Fields in full effect. He's at 26 points now, and QB5 on the week.
He’s a terrible real life QB. But, he’s elite fantasy-wise, which results in folks making a ton of excuses for him.

Yep. I've been dealing with listening to the fantasy brigade for quite a while. I thought all that had ended in Pittsburgh, but then he had that game against Pit for the Jets and even I got my hopes up. They were promptly dashed the next week.

Did they just down it at the one so that we have to try a trick play out of our end zone?

Talk about even less of a likelihood of success and a recipe for a safety or negative fantasy points.

New Fields owner here after losing Burrow and he is in my lineup. He was dropped by the previous owner-picked him up for free.
I will lose this week and stand 1-3. It has been a less than ideal start to this year.
Having played FF for over 15 years, not panicing because this is all for fun.
What I am most interested in seeing is if I have a QB1 in Fields ROS, Indiana Jones as my backup.

Still trying to patch things together in other positions. But hopefully have my QB1 figured out.
wow, someone else besides the jest also believes that fields is a qb1.

I get it we all want to laugh. It’s Fields after all. Been playing FF long enough to remember his fall from grace.

However, he put up 27 points for my team this week. Grasping for any glimmer of hope here after losing Burrow. His 27 burger tonight the most points scored by a QB for me so far in 2025. I’ll take that all day from a free waiver pickup.

Miami owes Hill and Tua Tags a lot of money, there was talk of Hill being traded but that isn't gonna happen
Miami owes Hill about $30M a year for at least the next couple seasons, they can release him but they're gonna pay a lot in dead cap space
You can discuss firing the coach and GM but what folks will want the GM or HC job in Maimi with this type of cap issue hanging over their heads
Miami is now stuck with Tua and Tyreek thru '26

@BassNBrew
Terrible Trade for Miami and will be paying for it in coming seasons
Hill will get paid plenty to rehab here now
His 2026 money isn't guaranteed for injury. There's some dead money but that's from the structure and using void years, they would have eaten that all at some point anyway.

Pre-6/1 release:
2026 Dead Cap: $28,248,750
2026 Savings: $23,650,000

Post-6/1 release:
2026 Dead Cap: $15,898,750
2027 Dead Cap: $12,350,000
2026 Savings: $36,000,000

LOL, if there was a deity, what on earth do athletes think would cause a deity to care about a football game in a remote section of the universe? They sound SO silly.
Postgame interviews are some of the few unscripted moments where athletes control the message. Faith references can reinforce their values and personal identity. In Tua's case, at least it comes across as authentic and rooted in gratitude. He seems super grateful to be able to still be playing.

i mean i guess he is FF worthy due to his inability to throw. he is forced to run. making him valuable.

Welcome to religion
There is no limit to God's ability to know, care or pay attention to something.

I marvel at people who think an all powerful God who created everything from nothing has some kind of finite attention span or capacity.

As if God were a man.

Be warned, He will not be mocked.

if there was a god, i wouldn’t be a jet fan. he would’ve saved my soul.

The 0-3 Jets committed 15 penalties including numerous ones pre-snap and then add on 3 turnovers...
And the Jets were within striking distance lat in this football game?
Ho bad is Miami because most teams would have blown them out
The Dolphins are just being gutted up the middle for 8-9 yards any time the opposing team wants to run the football

jets were down double digits pretty much 30 minutes, or half the game. a late score and possession on their own 1 with no time isn’t exactly striking distance. dolphins are stinky, but they figured out how to win a game the jest never do.
