Mike Williams will be inactive. Rookie WR Devale Ellis (Hofstra) will be activated from the practice squad and will be on the Lions' roster today.

Williams obviously a bust, but I think the main reason the no name got activated is because he plays special teams and Fat Mike Williams doesn't. Makes a difference when considering #4 and # 5 wideouts on rosters.

Very true. I think Shaun Bodiford would have taken this spot if he wasn't hurt. Get used to seeing Williams inactive.
