Moss or Ray Ray (1 Viewer)

Tough choice in my opinion.... Would like to see Ray win it going out.... In the same breath, I'd really like to see Randy win just one (1).... Tough call.... But I'd have to go Randy...

I'll go with the guy who doesn't have a ring and who I'm 100% certain has never murdered anyone.

I'm a 9er fan but if BAL wins Ill be more happy for Ed Reed than Lewis, since Reed doesn't have a ring.Of course I'd much rather see Moss get one. :)

moss....i'm already tired of the over the top emotional put on by lewis. it's like being at a black funeral where they throw down on the ground and roll around.

Quitters don't deserve rings.
Lol bitter much? Moss hasn't quit on the 9ers. In fact he has been nothing but a team player since they signed him. No whining, no complaining. He has just gone out and done what theyve asked of him, and has been very humble and professional.Just my $.02

Much better to give it to the guy who tries to run down meter maids and left a string of unacknowledged kids behind in VA. I don't think either of them are the standards of idolatry that people should be harping on for "deserving" a ring. Plenty of other guys on both teams to root for otherwise. Except for on the Niners. Definitely none of them!

Just putting "Ray Ray" in the thread title will guarantee that there will be many uneducated/pointless responses in the thread. Now, it is going to be great to see both of these HOF players for the final time. (Assuming Moss doesn't come back)

On the list of offenses ranked by forgivability, you'll find "being selfish, spoiled, and petulant", "smoking weed", and "shirking adult responsibilities" pretty substantially higher than "stabbing a dude to death" and "obstruction of an active murder investigation".

The amount of witnesses and/or prosecutors in this thread is incredible. I wish some of you would have come forward with what you saw & with any additional evidence.

I'd prefer the non-murderer in that scenario. Plus, even if he was innocent of the murder (which I don't believe he was), Lewis still punched a woman in a bar a few years back.Ill take moss because he doesn't have a ring, and mainly because I'm tired of the Lewis inspiration crap. Even as a Panthers fan, the only single player that I would have liked to see get a title was Tony Gonzalez.

I agree, but neither does that make someone "deserve" to go out with a ring. However, I don't believe being a multi-millionaire and leaving single mothers and your children behind in poverty to be aptly covered by "shirking adult responsibilities". No, I have no proof of that, I know someone that's from the same area as Moss. Feel free to dismiss that criticism of Moss.

I'd prefer the non-murderer in that scenario.I dislike bith guys, but at least Moss doesn't parade around like he's an inspiration to people. I personally prefer to be inspired by people who don't drive around with dead bodies in their trunk.
:lmao: So much delicious ignorance in there I don't know where to begin.

I never said that I was 100% certain Lewis murdered someone. I said I was 100% certain Moss had not. I do not have anywhere near that degree of certainty with Lewis. I AM, however, 100% certain that Ray Lewis actively impeded a murder investigation at the very least. He pled guilty to it. I know at the very least he got in a fight with two men, and that two of his friends later killed the men- they were acquitted on the grounds of self defense. I know that Ray Lewis conveniently misplaced the white suit he was wearing when the men were killed, and it's never been found. So, at the very least, he's a hothead who escalated a conflict that led to two of his friends killing two men, and he then obstructed the investigation. More reasonably (given the missing suit- seriously, when was the last time anyone just lost a suit, especially one they just happened to be wearing when his friends were busy killing someone), he was around for the murders. It is easily within the realm of possibility that he was a participant. Regardless, there is no reading of the events of that night that casts him in any but the most unfavorable light. Besides, this is a court of public opinion, not a court of law. The burden of proof is not "beyond a reasonable doubt", here, it's a simple preponderance of the evidence. And the preponderance of the evidence weighs heavily against Lewis, which is why he's reached settlements in civil suits with the families of both murder victims.

Yeah, I edited at the same time you quoted me. Been A while since I thought of the case and I remembered it incorrectly. Regardless, I find it hard to believe that he was innocent, and even if he was, he got in trouble for punching a woman not too long before that.Lewis is no inspiration to me, that's for sure. Moss isn't either, but I think he's a better human being than ray Lewis at least. As I said before, the only guy at the end of his career that I was rooting for this year was Tony G.

I will admit it's curious that Lewis reached an out-of-court financial settlement with the families of both victims.A squeaky clean, completely innocent man probably doesn't do that. But I still like him 1000x more than Moss.

It's not that curious. Again, the suit is pretty blatant. You mean to tell me that you just happened to lose the clothes you were wearing at the time of the murders? How do you lose clothes? There are only so many places they could be- just think, where were you the last time you undressed. Suits don't just vanish unless someone makes them vanish, and people don't make ultra expensive suits vanish unless they have a damn good reason. Ray almost certainly played a much larger role in those murders than has been admitted. And the nice thing about him making the Super Bowl is it gives everyone two more weeks to remind people that he maybe kind of sort of killed a couple dudes and lied to the cops about it. Not saying you have to like Moss. Guy's a major doucher who has quit on multiple teams, and who once ran his car into a meter maid because he was petulant about getting a ticket. But, in my mind, the fact that he hasn't maybe kind of sort of killed some dudes still ranks him miles above Lewis.

Lewis is getting so over the top that it makes him look silly. Every week it's a new level of stupid. He's going to join pregame shows for the next ten years after probably having a major part in a murder.Moss is no saint either but it's not close. Go Moss. Best deep threat receiver in NFL history.

84 all the way.It was weird seeing his total lack of celebration after Gore's go-ahead TD though. He just looked up, noticed that Gore scored, and walked away.

im rooting for willis, bowman, gore and davis. those guys suffered through some pretty bad 49ers teams.

There are many players that wont get a ring that I would like to see get one, but the question here is which of these two guys-------------I will go Ray.

Plenty of names to choose from who deserve a ring on both sides. But given the two choices to start the thread it has to be Moss over the guy auditioning for a CBS soap opera the past few weeks. Just can't stomach watching that act again. It is getting to be a bit much.

Maybe Oprah can get him to admit to it?

:goodposting: It's all about Ray - "Look at me, everybody! Look at my stupid dance! Look at me fall on the field after the game in a group of reporters so I can pretend pray and they can all take pictures of me!!"I can't stand his arrogance.
