Most "Out There" Projection/Ranking (1 Viewer)

I'd don't mind if people have different perspectives and having rankings/projections that go against the grain give us things to discuss. Certainly I have viewpoints that often differ with the masses. What have you seen that makes you wonder what planet someone is from?

My nominee so far this year is Sports Illustrated projecting Marc Brunell to have 3,500 passing yards and 30 TD this year. That one caught me by surprise and really goes against just about everyone else's opinion. (Remember, just because it's different does not mean we have to bash someone).

Whatcha got for your "most interesting pick" (made by someone else) so far this year?

Ronnie Brown as RB6

I actually think Brunell will go for about 3500/27, so 30 is not that far of a stretch to me

By "out there" I meant way against the grain. Plenty of people have Gates as TE 1 or Brown as RB 6. While you may not agree with either of those, they are not straying far from the masses in either case.

I was reading SI's FF preview in the magazine while taking a crunch this morning and I noticed some pretty weird rankings, but I don't have the mag with me to post them. Brunell being WAY too high was one of them - I think they also have Aaron Brooks 30th. A lot of odd RB rankings too - FWP as RB24 or 25, DeAngelo Williams in the top 20... there were others, but I don't have it here right now and I don't know if their online content is the same.

LaMont Jordan as the #6 running back on the board. Someone called him a 'bonafide star' in one review. Let's just simmer down.

In my world, Carson Palmer is #2 behind Peyton. In the mag I picked up FFPF, it has Palmer ranked #13! Behind the likes of Kurt Warner, Aaron Brooks, Plummer, and Trent Green!

I take it that your mag was printed a long time ago and the publisher only thought Palmer would play half a season

Post your projections Anarchy and lets see. :stirspot:
:Anarchy puts pinky toe in water to check the temperature:I must admit, there is some curiousity as to what people are posting here to gage the potential response to me posting rankings.Seeing how I have Moss #1 and Williams #4 at WR, the fact that someone else does too is troubling and soothing at the same time.:getting fitted for full body armor in preparation to posting rankings soon:

Wimer has won some big pot's with his wacky rankings b4 though.
If you gamble enough you will eventually win ..... by chanceHis rankings are probably the worst I have EVER scene
 as much as i usually disagree with Mark's rankings, there's nothing wrong with going against the grain a little bit, especially when they're backed up your reasons why, which he generally does.

That idiot Couch Potato keeps telling people Corey Bradford will go for 55-800-6 this year. That would put him at 116 FP, or WR33 in the FBG projections.

He also thinks Jon Kitna will be a top-8 fantasy QB, Roy Williams will be a top-8 fantasy WR, Mike Williams will be mostly a non-factor, and Charles Rogers will not see the field in a Lions uniform in 2006.

What a moron. :bag:

In my world, Kitna and RWilliams are higher and MWilliams is the one that fades into obscurity. I'm still on the fence about Rogers.

As you can see, I'm absolutely drinking the Martz Kool Aid. Unfortunately, that also means qualifying my Kitna ranking with what I see as a greater health risk than most QBs. Their system exposes the QB, and Rams QBs took a lot of hits and missed games in the past. Even with that risk, if Kitna gets top-8 production on a PPG basis he's still a bargain available as QB20-something off the board.

I think a definition of "out there" is in order. I currently have Eli Manning as my #3 QB and Chester Taylor as my #7 RB. Is that out there?

For me it's all these people suggesting that Bush will get 250+ touches and out produce D. McAllister as NO's top fantasy RB.

That's just plain crazy if you ask me.

If it happens I'll be the 1st to admit I'm wrong, but barring an injury by DM there is no way that happens.

DM IS coming off an injury, so it's possible, as he is not yet 100% . . .

I keep reading how Deuce is still not healthy. ....

I hear you both. I know he's not healthly 100%, but he is practicing everyday and he's been the man up until this point.

I just think 16+ touches per game for RB is way more than I think he'll average. Bush has to learn the system first.

And really to out perform DM in fantasy points, he'd have to most likey be ultra productive with those 16 touches. Not saying the guy isn't good, but he is a rook still. That would be mighty, mighty productive football imo if he can pull that off.

It might be close to a miracle if it happens, imo.

But your spelling on the other hand
His spelling is fine. The word choice doesn't make cents, though...
Aye disagree.
