Mostly likely player outside top 5 at their position to finish #1? (1 Viewer)

QB - RyanRB - MJDWR - MarshallTE - JesusSurprised by how many people are saying DMC and how few are saying MJD (Im shocked CJ2K's ADP is higher than MJD as well). As others have said, I cant picture any QB not in the Top 5 ending up #1, but I think a TE pulling that off is is about 10 times less likely. There is a 1% chance a TE besides Gronk or Graham ends up #1, and that 1% is Hernandez is Gronk goes down in the first couple weeks with a season ending injury.
I didnt mention MJD because both power rankings I referenced had him in the top 5. If he was outside the top 5 I would take him over Forte.

100 to 1? I'll take that bet. Heck, I'll DOUBLE your odds and make it 50 to 1. I get the field, you get Gronk and Graham.Deal?Remember last season when Gronk was a late-round pick? And Graham was a mid-round TE? Yeah, the TE position changes fast.

QB: Cam Newton (Goaline carries and passing)

RB: Darren McFadden

WR: Brandon Lloyd (McDaniel's system and Brady as QB)

TE: Fred Davis (RG3 will go to him early and often as a saftey valve)

QB - Romo (Has the weapons to put together a great season)RB - Richardson (Should get plenty of opportunities to carry the offense)WR - AJ Green (Guys a beast who will break out in his 2nd season)TE - Finley (Talent is there and will put the drops of last year behind him)
I'll go with Vick instead of Romo but the rest of this list is

Im open to a friendly wager, but I may have exagerrated a little on the odds...I wont give you 50:1 odds or even close but we could probably figure out something interesting

Gates was the #1 scorer in the entire league until he got injured. He was outproducing wrs, running-backs and QBs it was a remarkable site to see......then he got injured! ARG!!

(Insert name here) is the most likely candidate to finish number 1 at their position but is being taken outside of the top 5 of their position. My vote: Julio JonesTop 5 listRB: foster,rice,mccoy,mathews,cj2kWR: Johnson, fitz, Welker, Jennings, JohnsonQB: Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Stafford, Scam NewtonTE: Gronk, Graham, Hernandez, Gates, Davis
CharlesD. ThomasRomoJ Finley

QB: Romo,Ryan

RB: DMC

WR: Marshall,Bowe,Austin can break top five not necessary Number 1 but its hard to beat megatron and fitz. But great value here.

TE: Pettigrew,Tame,Daniels love him late could be a top five also.

Dez Bryant. His skill is insane. If he can just focus in, the sky is the limit. His skill level is right up there with the very top guys.

I'll throw out:

QB Peyton Manning (old man rebound)

RB Marshawn Lynch (avoids suspension, weak division)

WR Victor Cruz (builds on last season)

TE Jermichael Finley (finally lives up to the hype)

Not that I feel any are very likely but possible.

Forte won't get there with Bush around.
Michael Bush destroyer of worlds, oh wait destroyer of nothing - ever.
Vick > Manning due to rushing
Worked real well for him last year, oh wait. Manning has better weapons and is a better QB.
Nicks may start slow and Cruz will get his.
Every WR in the NFL was just described.
Don't see Pettigrew making the jump. Megatron will get the TDs. Scheffler still around.
Making what jump? Dudes averaging 77 Rec a year all he needs to finish top 3 is TDs, which Scheffler has no claim on and Megatron is at best two people.
Bush - top 10 ff back last year. Doesn't need to be a destroyer of worlds to cut into Forte's production.Manning - relative to Cam, Manning has better weapons and is the better QB. Cam posted close to 70 more ff points last year. Pettigrew - I just have a sour taste after last year. Scheffler seemed to be the red zone guy. Similair to Finley in GB, I see too many options for his TD options to make that big jump.

I like this thread but there a few guys that have no chance in my eyes

Cam Newton - he is top 5 so shouldn't be mentioned, and he is going to lose some goal line work to Tolbert and others.

Dez Bryant - he is talented but stupid, and he seems to get injured in games and miss long periods of time during the game

Jermicheal Finley - Too many mouths to feed in Green Bay and he drops to many passes

Jacob Tamme - When he made all those headlines in Indy it was with a healthy Manning and no other tight end options, Dressens has a knack for the end zone

James Starks - Seriously?

D. Thomas - I like his talent but has missed at least 5 games in each season he has played, needs to stay healthy before I am buying

Guys I like that didn't think of before

Pettigrew - all he needs is to catch more touchdowns, if healthy he is a lock for 80 + catches

Michael Vick - Done it before - If he plays most of his games it should be close.

Darren McFadden - If he plays most of his games it should be close.

Brandon Lloyd - Done it before.

Jermichael Finley - If he plays most of his games it should be close.

Brandon Marshall
You beat me to it. He was the one player I thought of with the best potential. The divisional games with the Lions and Packers should be shoot outs, and Cutler has always had a tendency to lock on to a WR. Not to mention their past experience on and off the field (if you know what i mean :excited: )
