Mount Union (OH) invitational began last weekend... (2 Viewers)

Mount Union’s earliest exit since 1994.

Congrats to North Central Illinois.  Even in Division iii, it’s rare to see a bi-directional school make it this far.

Crazy finish -

So Wheaton scored a potential tying TD with 9 secs left, scorer* spiked the ball & got flagged, Wheaton missed long PAT (but offsetting penalties), then missed it AGAIN...ALL WITH A TRAIN ROLLING BY THE STADIUM.

* The "scorer" was the Wheaton center. He pulled a Fridge Perry, but perhaps didn't realize DIII is not the NFL.

The Johnnies will face UW-Whitewater in the Semis.  Whitewater had no trouble dispatching previously unbeaten Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Johnnie magic.

In case anyone is wondering, Mary Hardin-Baylor of Belton Texas is (or was) affiliated with Baylor University.  UMHB was originally chartered by Texas as "Baylor Female College."

UW-Whitewater tops the Johnnies in a 35-32 thriller and North Central Illinois had no difficulty dispatching Muhlenberg to set up this year’s final.  As a Whitewater native, I may be biased, but I just can’t see this Warhawk team losing to a bi-directional school.

130+ catches! 2000+ yards! 31 TD'S!!!

for a receiver?!? in 14 games??????

those are.... inexplicable numbers. holy ####.

UW-Whitewater out in first round. Mount Union, Mary Hardin-Baylor, North Central (IL) among those that advanced.
And the Johnnies, don't forget the Johnnies. Although they've got a tough one against Wartburg. Hopefully the unseasonably warm weather tomorrow helps the passing attack.

Don Beebe's built a nice program there at Aurora. Nearly knocked off the Johnnies a couple times and then takes out Whitewater.

Semi-related: St. Thomas, which was a perennial power their last decade in D3 moved up to D1 FCS and won the Pioneer conference, going undefeated, in their second year. There is some good football being played at the D3 level.

There really need to be a dislike button.

I'm just jealous my school always got trounced by them (and everybody else we played).

Dislike this one too.

Yes. Split my allegiance for undergrad and law school between two MIAC schools.
