From the late 90's to the presents.... Who has had the best one season in fantasy, but never to product to that level again?

Here is mine ( )

QB: Steve Beuerlein '99

RB: Jamal Anderson '98

WR: Peerless Price '02

TE: Marcus Pollard '01

K: Neil Rackers '05

Yours?

From the Bucs web site:

Michael Clayton's 80-catch, 1,193-yard season in 2004 ranked as the fifth-most prolific rookie receiving campaign in NFL history.

Scott Mitchell in '95 (I think that was the year) comes to mind.................

Edit to add: Oops you said late 90's, sorry.

My God.. I remember that yr... People were actually making trade offers for him.Rackers still has the power, but lost his touch... seems like hes only 50/50 from 40 yds

Germane Crowell - WR Lions - 1999

81 receptions, 1338 yards, 7 TDs

Next best year was:

34 receptions, 430 yards, 3 TDs

Patrick Jeffers won me my first FF championship, so he sprang immediately to mind.

Garrison Hearst had that one year where he got 2k total yards and 10ish TDs. Never approached that after, although he had a couple more decent years. Think that was '97 or '98.

I was thinking of Loville too, but couldn't remember his damn name.

man this is bringing back some memories. my first ever draft pick

natrone means in

Year Team G GS Att Yds Avg Lg TD Rec Yds Avg Lg T

1994 San Diego Chargers (NFL) 16 16 343 1350 3.9 25 12 39 235 6.0 22

however, i drafted him in 1995 and i got:

1995 San Diego Chargers (NFL) 10 9 186 730 3.9 36 5 7 46 6.6 14 0

Gary Brown RB - NY Giants 1998 - 1,063 rushing yds - 5 TD's
Gary Brown RB - HOU Oilers 1993 - 1,002 rushing yds - 6 TD's
1993 isn't the mid 90's.EDIT: Don't know what I'm talking about...yes it is...scratch Gary Brown
Zoomanji is correct.Brown's stats for 1993 were made in about 1/2 of the season when he filled in for Lo White.

I know because his 2nd half led my team to 1st place.

1993 could be considered mid 90's, too (93,94,95,96,97).

 That would be why I put the EDIT: in & said scratch Gary Brown.

Lamont Jordan 2005

1025 yards rushing, 70 rec for 563 yards, 11 TDs.

In the league seven years, but has never had more than 549 yards rushing, 28 receptions or 4 total TDs in any other year.

May be too early but:FWP 06He put up yards last year, but nowhere near the TD's
FWP had three years of good production to date, ever since he won the starting gig with his 180 yard performance in his 2005 start vs. the Titans. It happens to be that 2006 was even better for him though 2007 did not mirror it becaue of a lack of TDs and some change in the Steeler offense with Bruce Aryans coming aboard. But, anyone writing him off as a "one year wonder" at this point in my view is sleeping, good players dont just dissapear. I traded him away last year and would take him back i :kicksrock: n a heartbeat.

And it looks like he is pretty much done. This one will probably qualify - more than the other current players listed, anyway (Stokely might have a decent year left in the tanks for Denver - at least one that is not negligible. FWP? really?)
