Sunday night thread.
So my brother is currently living with me as we work together on a project and last night I come home to find out one of my neighbors gave him pot. Now we're in out late twenties here so we're all adults. But it feels wrong.
A little back story. We've been blazing non-stop since he got here. I have a few friends who are more then happy to sell to me. We've been high every night, having a blast. So in the context of yesterday, we ran out and he was hanging tight around the apartment while I was at a day party with some friends. However those friends have been hit up quite a bit in the past few weeks with our heavy pot smoking habit and they're really slow to get back to me now. Nothing surprising.
I get back and apparently my brother ran into a drunk guy on my floor, who was one of my neighbors and somehow got him to give him some pot. Now my suspicion radar is going off as I suspect it wasn't just some "I'm drunk, here is some pot" type stuff. I think he was wandering around and hit someone up because it's so convenient that he ended up getting some hands on some pot when we ran out. He doesn't know anyone in the area. I'm pissed because I know this is eventually going to suck me into it because these are my freaking neighbors that I live with in this complex. He promises it won't be me being involved. I don't believe it. We whine to each other for a while and then move on.
So then today he went back to this guy to give a thank you note. He told me in advance he was doing this and I complained again that this was nuts. He brushed me off. While it isn't explicitly said, I'm sure he's also attempting to hit up this guy for more pot.
He eventually comes back after dropping the note off, also leaving his number on it. So just now while we're walking back to the apartment after running out out 7/11, the very guy who he said wouldn't know it was me...just happens to be hanging out in front of my apartment. And he says to my brother that he'll hook him up by Wednesday. We head inside and I'm incredulous that this is happening and I let him know it. He complains back that I'm not going to get involved in this. I point out that he literally knows what I look like now because he saw up both together outside of the apartment!
My brother apologizes but he's not quite into the apology. I get the feeling he doesn't think I'm in the right.
Am I being a big downer here...or do I have a legitimate complaint here?
