I am a new subscriber to Football Guys. Last year I subscribed to The Huddle. I utilized David Doreys draft rankings. During the year the top 200 was overseen by someone else. This created very different results when comparing the 2 lists. In trying to utilize the top 200 list for trading and waiver acquisitions, the contradictions in rankings proved to be inconsistent with each other. I would be acquiring players that up to then were drafted below these same players. I only mention this because I noticed under our sites MY FBG, you can use David Dodd's draft list customized to my league rules, but under top 200 it doesnt mention the source of the rankings. Is this comprised of several rankers? Does anyone know? If this is the case I fear they will also prove to be very different from Davids list and therefore useless.

I was hoping for a reply. The pat answer you typically get is to do your own projections. I would prefer to rely on FBG since they are obviously very adept at what they do. That being said, if there is no consistency between draft rankings and top 200, at least if I know who is formulating the top 200 rankings, I can then utilize the same staff members for the draft rankings.

Pretty sure the top 2002 was always based on Dodds' projections.

Checked with Clayton, he said the Top 200 is based off of Dodds projections. Of course as the season goes on, the Top 200 are adjusted for how he sees things stand at that moment.

If I understood you correctly that you're comparing an in-season Top 200 list with a preseason list... yes, you should expect they will differ as the Top 200 has been updated continuously.

It is almost June and we are still linked to 2011.....

I understand there are no projections....but if there are rankings, we should be able to link to our 2012 leagues and see custom draft orders based on our 2012 league rules....

No, it can't give you a draft order. A set of rankings are only good for the league format they are created for. A set of rankings from Dodds beliefs for 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE with 4 pt passing TDs and 1 pt PPR are not the same as a set of rankings for 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 super flex, 6 pt passing TDs and no PPR.To come up with quality rankings or a draft order customized to a league you need an expectation of how many fantasy points in that league each player is expected to score. The only way to have a computer be able to get those expected fantasy points to be applicable for any league is to have projections that can be plugged into the league scoring system.

Without the projections all it could do is tell you what players you own and which are available. Not how they are ranked relative to each other.

You're not the only one... The "When will MyFBG be up and running for 2012?" questions has been asked in few threads now. However, no one seems to know (nor will respond to) that question. I guess we will just have to wait and see.In the meantime, if anyone wants to chime in... It would be greatly appreciated!

they're working for me... from the myfbgs homepage only the 2011 projections are available, but if you move forward with those, the projections page allows you to change to 2012
