My life after the passing of my wife - 9+ years later!!! (2 Viewers)

Great to hear from you cheesey!

From everything you have gone through congrats on staying strong and positive. The Ireland trip sounds fantastic, I've always wanted to go. What are you doing "at home" to keep you entertained? And the dating thing - sounds like you have the right attitude, if it happens, it happens. In the meantime connect with people.
What do I do at home to keep myself entertained? Nothing productive that’s for sure. I have difficulty trying occupying my free time alone. I participate in fantasy football and the group here that does cycling contests. Doom scrolling, occasionally binge watch series. There is usually a sporting event on the TV in the background. Go through phases when I read a lot. Random drives around NJ and SE PA. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Just fantasy cycling geeks. Lol. I find it interesting learning about a sport with relatively little exposure in the States.

You may or may not be interested but my dad and I started playing in a pool league (billiards) when he was in his late 50s and it really helped him socialize as he went into retirement. You don't have to be good. As a matter of fact, a lot of teams are looking for beginners as it's all handicapped so there is a need for lower ranked players. I started playing 25 years ago and now that we're in our mid-40s, my wife and I use it as a way to get out of the house and have some fun without the kiddo. If it is something you'd be interested in, feel free to hit me up and I'll answer any questions you have and try to help you find a league near wherever you're at.
