My Miniature Christmas Tree And New Year's Snow Globes (1 Viewer)

I just read this again and felt like George Bailey when his brother said, "the richest man in town".

I definitely need to see the movie, but I can guess from context that it's a good thing.

Seriously, bud, you really make this place great.

This could have been treated so poorly in different hands. You all make this place so darn joyous at times.

RIP wik
Thinking of you, Flop. Bless this Christmas for you.

Peace.

Since this is the twee thread, have I told you all about the beautiful decorative box my mother gave me one year?

So anyway, like about six or seven years ago, the Moms buys this box for me. It's a storage box, used for putting stuff away and all that. Only it's a box that contains a gift for my birthday. And it's a decorative box with a little elephant (I think it's Babar) with a balloon attached to its trunk.

Little box says "Twinkle twinkle little star do you know how loved you are?"

Now, it's pretty twee, but like all things twee that have a reason to be, it sits in my closet, buried under other shoe boxes and things of the sort. Well, today, I'm going to liberate said precious twee box and put it out where it can be seen in all its glory.

After all, it's not every day one receives a gift, much less a gift in a ornate, precious little box.

No, it's not a heart-shaped box like Nirvana. Just a regular old rectangular one. It fits two pairs of shoes, if you're so inclined toward utility, or it can fit a host of other things. The main thing is the baby elephant on the cover, amazed at the world, clinging to the balloon with its trunk for near and dear life.

Oh, little elephant! Where will you go if the balloon flies away? Will you follow it to the ends of the earth? Where will you be all grown up?

Twee whee, mon freres. Twee whee.
