308 shows listed here. Free to download. Legal and with the band's permission. It doesn't get any better than free and legal.
That's a great site. Already downloaded one of the Jim James solo shows I was at and some MMJ show.

Any MMJ recommendations from this vault.....either great show and/or soundboard-like quality?

And so it ends... 99 songs and one repeat (more on that later) Got there a bit earlier (about 7:20) and found the group that I now call my My Morning Jacket Family Just an awesome group of peeps who I hung with all week They ushered me over and I was right behind the rail, dead center AWESOME Such a wonderful sense of community...there was a mom and 16 yr old son to my right...He was awesomely knowledgeable about MMJ and music, and was uber excited A band called Everest opened, and they were tremendous...really got us ready for the show MMJ came out about 15 mins earlier than they had (about 9:15), and I have to say, Evil Urges is MUCh better live, especially the back half We were partying and grooving and having a great time Was a awesome excitement the whole night Encore came quick and they started with Circuital and Friends Again, two new songs that sounded AWESOME Then they played Carried Away, another new songt that Carl sings...again, really liked it They played a sweet song (wonderful) that JJ wrote with M Ward) Then it was on Tonight I want To Celebrate With You >> Oh Sweet Nuthin (Jeebus, 2 VY covers this run??!?!?!? SICK)>> Hot Fun in the Summertime >> Carnival TIme Then they broke out Move On Up and it was sick I thought it was over as the band left the stage, but the house lights didn't come on... After a minute they came back out and ripped through a jubilant, triumphant, spectacular One Big Holiday (the week's only repeat) that brought the house down So amazing..I will remember this week the rest of my life...it was that special Met some new friends, saw some amazing music, and most importantly reaffirmed the positive power of music and community I hope they release these officially, but there is a ton of good stuff on you tube Go get it!
Came home last night from the Blazer's game and after my wife went to bed, I sat outside under my covered patio and watched the rain pour down around me. Poured myself a big old glass of Bullet Bourbon, put on my ear buds and absolutely rocked out to a live version of Dondante and other tracks for about an hour. Thought of you, TU, the whole time. You were part of the reason I got into MMJ - as well as some other bands - and your love and passion for music will be sorely missed by me and many others. Thank you, TU. Forever I will smile when I listen to MMJ and think of your big bearded smile.

That show was bananas. Literally. Z was awesome throughout, but the closing 21 minute Dondante was EPIC. Don't remember the whole encore but I do know The Who's Quick One (awesome), Prince's I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man, Funkadelic's Hit it or Quit it were played. Sick. They closed with Careless Whisper. And at the end Jim James and the band threw Bananas into the crowd, exhorting us to sing along to the outro. Was hilarious and awesome. James added a spirited spoken word support of George Michael. Abrantes made it in, and I'm pretty sure he enjoyed the #### out of the show. Sitting here in a bar having a beer. Still have a smile on my face. This week has been amazing.
 the middle/end sax solo with JJ laying down some wicked little syncopated #### was magic. And I gotta say, I've haven't felt the whole "communal" thing with music in a LONG time like I did last night during Wordless Chorus. thousand people screaming their fool heads off to literally, a wordless chorus, just cause it sounds so cool. ears still ringing. :banned:
really wish I coulda met ya.

Maybe at the One Big Holiday in the sky.

:banned:

cheers dude.

Anyone score Roll Call presale tickets?

We got 3rd row (likely right in front of YY) in Cleveland and 3rd row Columbus night 2.

Not sure if we are doing Columbus night 1, but we have 3 scattered tickets for that show within the first few rows.

Grantland posted an interesting article about My Morning Jacket and their new album the other day.

http://grantland.com/hollywood-prospectus/one-big-circle-how-my-morning-jacket-rebounded-with-its-best-album-in-a-decade/

I've never seen them before live, but I have tickets to see them at Red Rocks in August. I'm excited.
Read this earlier today, pretty good read and fairly accurate as far as the band goes and its trajectory (and falters since 08). It did seem to make Jim sound a bit down and broken, which I think comes thru in the lyrics of quite a few songs on the new album, but im guessing JJ will be going at full throttle once this album is out and tour starts.

You're in for a treat if you've never seen them live before. Theyre last couple albums have been quite hit and miss (prior to this new one), but live theyve remained arguably the best band going.

I think the 2 singles they already released are the strongest track, but I just gave it a quick listen.

Eta Compound Fracture is good

Tropics is gonna jam live. Reminds me of the beat from Victory Dance.

I think the three down tempo songs are total duds but the rest is pretty good. Way fewer crimes against at good taste than in the last two. I'm pleased.

Like a River bores me but isnt bad. I like Get The Point.....Only Memories Remain is a nice mix of genres for them which is supposedly pretty good live (they played it at OBH 2 this year). Although its slowed down, I like the solo/jam on it.

I think the parentheses songs are going to be monsters live - Tropics (Erases Traces), In Its Infancy (the Waterfall), Spring (Among the Living).

Have to say this is pretty much sums up my feelings as well. Love all the YY falsetto, and Bo is money, on the album.

I'm a big fan of Only Memories Remain compared to the other two you listed.

Totally agree with your last point...can't wait for those three tunes live.

Compound Fracture is a solid one too. I'd also really like Believe (Nobody Knows) for it's strangeness, but can't seem to get over the "Believe" parts - sounds corny - maybe it will grow on me.

Hillside Song is a good bonus track. Not sure about the other one, I Can't Wait, though.

Only Memories Remain is growing on me. The riff at the end is like a virus in my brain. The fade is a sweet ending to the album too.

Get the Point is also a pretty good little ditty. I hope you get the PoinnnnTT

Thin Line is the stinker imo.

Its different for them, but Im actually surprised Compound Fracture wasnt one of the singles. I love that one.

Believe reminds me of Im Amazed to a degree. Its kinda cheesy/corny, especially the chorus, but I think Jim makes it a semi-anthem live with the vocals.

Havent heard the bonus tracks yet.

2 days! :headbang: Anyone ever tweeted at them for the Spontaneous Curation Series?

Sounds like Jim isn't moving around the stage very well....I hope they don't have to cancel any shows down the line if his back gets worse.

After listening to the album countless times, here is how I tier the songs (much better album than Circuital too, imo). Not much separating the first two tiers.

Tropics, Spring, In It's Infancy, Only Memories Remain

.

Compound Fracture, Believe

..

Hillside Song, Get The Point

..

Big Decisions

...

...

Thin Line, I Can't Wait

...
