My son clogs the toilet at least once a week (1 Viewer)

He's 12. His dumps are are huge. Not in total volume, but one good log that I cannot imagine would would emerge from any ###### without serious damage.

That said, what is a father to do? Do I teach him how to break it up into smaller pieces? Do I just have to resign myself to taking care of it every time?

Help

My friend (when he was a burgeoning filmmaker) used to make movies of his huge dumps in junior high. They were "THE FOOT LONG CRAP" Volumes I, II, and III.

If he doesn't wipe first, will the logs go through the toilet tunnel without having to dismember them? If so, tell him to flush before wiping. If no, :X

Teach him to hone that skill. Practice choking the neighbor's toilet or maybe your work's or something. See how many toilets he can destroy in a week/month/year.

I'd champion the talent. You don't know what the future holds nor what skills will be valuable in the future.

Did you weigh the dump?

I assume there was a scale handy; they even have them in hotel suites these days for ready embellishment of infidelity exploits.

I have a notebook entry about someone's dad who used to keep a butterknife in the bathroom for this reason.

I spilled some Hi-C on that page though, and I don't remember the details. Anyone remember this?

Just moved into the new Big House. First order of business was to install American Standard Champion 4 toilets. Fourth house I've had with these toilets; still don't own a plunger.

I do recall a poop knife story. Couldn't remember if it was here or Seinfeld.

I do need to replace the toilet.
Just installed two of these bad boys last week.
I put one in too after daily cloggings from my 2 boys. Haven't had to use the plunger on it since I put it in. :toilet:

You should pick up the dump, rub it in your son's face, and say, "Never again!" The trainer I use said the key to this technique is to use a loving tone.

How dare you consider vandalizing his art. The kid deserves praise and understanding. He needs your support. He should ride his talent as far as it will take him.

Alternatively, if you cannot find the beauty in his creations, you could install a garbage disposal in line with the bottom of the toilet. Flip a switch and grind those bad boys down.

I am rolling right now. My son is about the same age and a couple of weeks ago I went to use the toilet. I see my boy has left a present for me. He always flushes...so I was like wtf. So, I flush the toilet and the bowl fills up. Ugh.

But then it slowly drains. I notice that my son has dropped a brick. It is so thick that it will not go through the hole. I am thinking...how in the hell did he not tear something.

How often does he poop? It could be he's not going often enough and that is contributing to the size. Someone recommended a stool softener - I would try that. I found out my kid was only pooping like once a week and it was tough then. we tried this with some success. Also have him drink lots of water.
