Nobody is saying this, even Myles himself.A racial slur doesn't allow for assault with a deadly weapon.
What a joke..lololol. This clown is making himself look worse by the minute. So, rudolph calls him a slur which NOONE heard & he eventually apologizes to Rudolph and everyone else in his statement. Yeah, ok Garrett stick with that. Cant fix stupid. So apparently the revelation of the racial slur was done at the hearing by Myles in private and then “leaked” by the NFL. Myles was assured it was a private meeting and the NFL is the one who allowed this to get out. Am I understanding this correctly????

Is it really that unbelievable? Maybe what...2 Steelers OL and a ref with the possibility to hear it?irish eyes said:What a joke..lololol. This clown is making himself look worse by the minute. Yes, keep defending him. It's a great look lol.Is it really that unbelievable? Maybe what...2 Steelers OL and a ref with the possibility to hear it?
Eventually apologizes? Lol
The only thing I’m defending is common sense. Was my question not a worthy enough one for you to answer?Yes, keep defending him. It's a great look lol.
Yeah, I'm sure 2 African American steeler lineman AND ref just blew it off if he said something. Do you think before you type. Are you Garrett's agent? The only thing I’m defending is common sense. Was my question not a worthy enough one for you to answer?
DeCastro looks Caucasian to me.Yeah, I'm sure 2 African American steeler lineman AND ref just blew it off if he said something. Do you think before you type. Are you Garrett's agent?
Yeah, no way he doesn't say something to at least his teammates. I could believe everything staying hush hush if it was an in house at practice thing, but no way from another team. It’s BS. A complete lie
Who would believe anything Garrett says?Beef Ravioli said:So apparently the revelation of the racial slur was done at the hearing by Myles in private and then “leaked” by the NFL. According to ESPN, in his appeal, Myles Garrett falsely asserted that Mason Rudolph uttered a racial slur toward him, prior to swinging a helmet at Mason's uncovered head, in a desperate attempt to mitigate his suspension. This is a lie. This false allegation was never asserted by Garrett in the aftermath of the game, never suggested prior to the hearing, and conspicuously absent in the apology published by the Browns and adopted by Garrett.
"The malicious use of this wild and unfounded allegation is an assault on Mason's integrity which is far worse than the physical assault witnessed on Thursday. This is reckless and shameful. We will have no further comment.
With James Thrash being the NFL Appeals Officer and Derrick Brooks involved also in the process, no reason at all for anyone to think the allegations weren’t investigate thoroughly. So just to get the timeline right here - the NFL came out really quickly stating that they see no evidence of anything being said. Did they just assume that the race card was going to be pulled ahead of time and go over all the tape and audio they could have, and possibly conduct interviews with the individuals in close proximity to the situation (the ref, teammates), or did they do this all yesterday after the accusation was made?
Ok, but when? The appeal was yesterday midday right? By the end of the day, and really not even that late in the day, news came out that the NFL found no evidence to support the allegation. So, either their full investigation was only a few hours, or they knew the race card was going to be played ahead of time. With James Thrash being the NFL Appeals Officer and Derrick Brooks involved also in the process, no reason at all for anyone to think the allegations weren’t investigate thoroughly.
Like I said with James Thrash and Derrick Brooks being the one’s making the decision on Garrett’s appeal, there is no reason at all to have doubts if this was investigated. Not sure why you are having doubts. The NFL has nothing to gain by not investigating the racial allegations. The NFL could have said the suspension stands and we will investigate the racial slur. The racial slur should no way minimize Garrett’s suspension at all. If Rudolph did say it, then he should get a lengthy suspension also. Everything points to Garrett making this up. The NFLPA is heavily involved in the appeal hearing, I would think they would come out with a statement if they felt the NFL didn’t do an investigation, don’t you?Ok, but when? The appeal was yesterday midday right? By the end of the day, and really not even that late in the day, news came out that the NFL found no evidence to support the allegation. The public was made aware of the appeal yesterday. The NFL knew of the racial slur accusation before then.Ok, but when? The appeal was yesterday midday right? By the end of the day, and really not even that late in the day, news came out that the NFL found no evidence to support the allegation. Do you not think they asked everyone involved what was said during the first 2 minutes of every interview?Ok, but when? The appeal was yesterday midday right? By the end of the day, and really not even that late in the day, news came out that the NFL found no evidence to support the allegation. So, either their full investigation was only a few hours, or they knew the race card was going to be played ahead of time.
How long would it take to queue up the audio from the play if, indeed, Q.B.'s are always mike'd up by the league and so to two offensive linemen?Ok, but when? The appeal was yesterday midday right? Wouldn't it be more than that? Interview players on the field, as well as that one ref. Go back over footage from every camera filming. Just seemed to me that the word that an investigation was done and turned up nothing came very quickly after word of the accusation had come out. I'm just asking what the timeline of these events are. If the accusation was actually made days ago and it was just made public yesterday, that's one thing, but if Garrett just made the accusation yesterday at the hearing, just seems awfully fast for an investigation to have been done. How long would it take to queue up the audio from the play if, indeed, Q.B.'s are always mike'd up by the league and so to two offensive linemen?
You need more than Garret GB.This is scurrilous. Forever there will be some who say it is at least an open issue with Rudolph, the accusation having been made. He will never fully shake this though there is no proof, just the accusation of a manchild trying to mitigate his responsibility for instigating the incident with a hit that was uncalled for by the game situation, the clock winding down and no way for the Steelers to mount a come back.
Disappointing to me as I desperately need Garret in a League which is important to me, but my partisanship does not trump my common sense.
Not long of course. But, didn't the NFL say there is not any audio? How long would it take to queue up the audio from the play if, indeed, Q.B.'s are always mike'd up by the league and so to two offensive linemen?
Most things you see on crime shows only exist on crime shows and are entirely fictional. You would think with all the technology available, someone could filter out everything down to Rudolphs voice. Does this only exist on crime shows? Why isn't it public?
It seems to me that it's within the realm of possibility that Rudolph could have uttered the racial slur only loud enough for Garrett to hear it.Not long of course. But, didn't the NFL say there is not any audio?
Many people just don't believe that. There was no Ray Rice video, right? There are pics all over Twitter of the mics from the play before and I think a shot of one in the end zone during the play. They've been capturing sounds for a long time, the equipment today has to be the best ever. Players (including centers, guards, and QBs) are supposedly mic'd on a weekly basis. How did they fail?
Looking at the video it doesn’t seem likely to me that Rudolph was whispering in the ear hole of Garrett’s helmet. It seems to me that it's within the realm of possibility that Rudolph could have uttered the racial slur only loud enough for Garrett to hear it.
Prior to appeal they would have already done plenty of investigating. Likely had already listened to all sound they had during incident. The only expansion would have been into the plays right before it.Ok, but when? The appeal was yesterday midday right? By the end of the day, and really not even that late in the day, news came out that the NFL found no evidence to support the allegation. So, either their full investigation was only a few hours, or they knew the race card was going to be played ahead of time.
Keep reaching, geez.It seems to me that it's within the realm of possibility that Rudolph could have uttered the racial slur only loud enough for Garrett to hear it.
He could have thought it and in a moment of stress and physical exhaustion Garret could have temporarily experienced mental telepathy and have picked up on it. Lots of possibilities. It seems to me that it's within the realm of possibility that Rudolph could have uttered the racial slur only loud enough for Garrett to hear it.
My point is that just because no one else heard it doesn't mean it didn't happen. I don't think it happened because Miles would have brought it up immediately.Keep reaching, geez.
