Agree your bench looks a bit thin. Although, I'm not sure what a bench in a 16 teamer should look like. You might be a little thin at 3s, but otherwise I think this team covers the categories pretty well. I think Hayward is in for a big year.

Robinson feels drop-worthy to me, what's on the WW?

Top guys I'm seeing are Shumpert, D Williams, Sullinger, Ridnour, Casspi. Not a lot out there.

Let's see how my roster rounded out and just for fun added ESPN stupid NBA rank.

If I can slot Granger as my starting 4, I really like this team. The trade to swap Butler for Oladipo was huge, because it added another moderate usage player to my starting 5. I like Jimmy Buckets game and think he'll do fine as a 3 and D player, but I needed a little more play making. Lowry, Oladpio, and Iggy can all pass and defend their positions. Noah is key because he can defend, rebound, AND pass. Overall, the starting unit is lacking scoring volume and efficiency but here's hoping the rebounding, defense, and play making can make up for that. This team is relying a lot on Granger playing and yah..... that's not a good thing.

For the bench I wanted to make sure I had enough 3 point shooting and enough big men to soak up playing time. Redick, Foye, Pondexter, and Bargnani can chuck from 3 point land and I could do worse than Kosta for a back up C.

My lottery picks this year:

- The Greek: His activity in rebs/blks/stls in limited pre-season minutes looks insane. We'll see if he gets run.

- Andrew Nicholson, Ryan Kelly: Hoping one of these guys turn into stretch 4s for their respective squads (ORL/LAL)

- Gal Mekel: Looking solid in pre-season. Devin Harris is hurt and Monta Ellis is not a PG.

- Miles Plumlee: Been turning heads in PHO this season.

- Jeff Ayres: The Spurs signed this relative unknown to a decent contract. I trust Pop and Buford.

All in all. I like my team. Lost some value in the mid rounds, having to chase higher USG players after drafting around 2 lower USG studs, but I still like how the team is constructed. In hindsight, if I would have known it would be hard to find enough USG to field a competitive team, I would have drafted LaMarcus Aldridge instead of Noah and built with an Iggy/Aldridge base and in the 3rd/4th round draft a defensive center (Pecovic/Kanter/Bogut/KG - likely Pecovic). Oh well.

THE HOPEFUL ROTATION

PG - Derrick Rose, Jerryd Bayless

SG - Jimmy Butler, Martell Webster, Jerryd Bayless

SF - Vince Carter, Dorell Wright, Martell Webster

PF - Greg Monroe, Marcin Gortat

C - Andre Drummond, Marcin Gortat, Jermaine O'Neal

Offensively, this team will need Rose's scoring that I think will be more efficient this year. The big man rotation provide a decent scoring punch, very good rebounding, and hopefully a great defender and a decent defender to always pair with Monroe who offers some playmaking ability. Monroe and Gortat have enough mid range game to complement Drummond. The swing men hopefully will balance the offense with solid 3PNT shooting and solid defense. Everyone can score, nearly everyone will be able to defend, and I should have solid rebounding at every position.

THE DEPTH

POINT - CJ Watson, Ray McCallum

WING - Roger Mason Jr, Jared Cunningham

BIGS - Meyers Leonard, Zaza Pachulia, Gorgui Dieng, Carl Landry

Watson should provide enough PG minute insurance and has some upside as an additional 3 and D who could crack a full strength rotation. I should have enough sup par big man minutes. The only real concern is swing minutes. I think Mason will get some run in Miami but I am depending on Webster and Wright to get consistent playing time while Carter stays healthy. Hopefully Bayless can fill in some SG minutes if needed.

 
G - Bledsoe, curry, Jordan Crawford, Lucas 3, McLemore, tinsley, vander vida blue

F - ilyasova, harkless, p Patterson, t Mitchell, villanueva

C - kaman, olynyk, k Martin, h sims, faverani, s Adams

gambled on Bledsoe early and am hopeful he and harkless have strong d on the perimeter, loaded up bigs, hoping I get minutes and useful from some of these slugs. I think Patterson gets some good run in Sacramento. faverani seems like a banger. sadly Detroit seems set at the bigs, because Mitchell has hops and had lottery potential until he gave up his last year in college. I would really love an 8 man rotation and use some minutes to deal for needed help.

Do we need to set our lineups on the fantrax site? One of my teams shows up as illegal (won't count stats) and I can only change my other team's roster. Not sure if I need to sign in with another login.

Oh, I'll do it. I can always go in and retroactively set them for everyone. I'm not sure why I have positions and then flex because all player stats are being counted. I guess so you can see your projected rotation on top.

 
I'm not seeing the hoops league show up in my Fantrax list, at least under the same account as you've used for baseball BTF.

 
Looks like only a couple teams had their lineups set on fantrax so lots of teams are missing stats from last night.

I like this team.... a lot. Probably needs Lopez to maintain his level of play from last year on a new team and Hickson to get fairly big minutes in Denver. I think both are good bets.

Both Hickson and Lopez got 33 minutes in their openers. Hickson played great, Lopez like ####, but the opportunity looks like it will be there for them.
