NBA BTTF IV - LEAGUE ID: 53356 (5 Viewers)

PG: Darren Collison, Mo Williams, Mario Chalmers, Tim Frazier

SG: JJ Redick, Manu Ginobili, Rashad Vaughn, Jonathon Simmons

SF: Kevin Durant, Gerald Green, Carl Landry

PF: Kenneth Faried, Ed Davis, Trevor Booker, Mike Muscala

C: Omer Asik, Aron Baynes, Shayne Whittington

Could've had an awesome team if I didn't suck at auctions but I still think this team will be really good as long as I get enough minutes. Should score and rebound extremely well.

All timers have been done a couple of times. Would be up for maybe doing one again...some kind cap or dice roll or something variation.
A 6 seasons per player dice roll type of thing might work well with this. Luck shouldn't be as big of a factor as when we did that for baseball, as most elite NBA players have 6 pretty similar seasons. But what the dice would do is keep out the Troy Murphy sim cookie types. I remember Larry Boy drafting him in like the 3rd or 4th round and it was actually a pretty good pick.
:goodposting:
In (although I need this dice roll thing explained to me)
Basically, you pick a guy and then you roll dice to determine which of his top 6 seasons you get (by salary, I think)
We were allowed to pick which 6 seasons we wanted. Had to because of guys like Eckersley. His elite closer years didn't make his top 6 in salary because of his time as a mediocre starter.

To make the dice rolls more exciting, 1 of the 6 seasons should be chosen by the other owners. How fun would the Michael Jordan roll be with his 5 best Bulls years going up against his last Wizards year.

defense, schme-fense. nobody plays D in these things.

on the other hand, Westbrook was a 70 last year, Mirotic a 68, JR 51, KCP should be a plus defender. Stanley Johnson and Myles Turner should also both get very good D ratings so I may not be as bad defensively as you think.

Also the sim seems to be pretty effing random on defensive ratings.

SF - Lebron James, Jeff Green, Cleanthony Early

Did I surround Lebron with enough talent? NOBODY KNOWS.

PG: Reggie Jackson, Raul Neto, Seth Curry, Marcelo Huertas, Pierre Jackson

SG: James Harden, Patrick Beverley, Glenn Robinson III

SF: Aaron Afflalo, PJ Tucker, Dwight Powell

PF: Aaron Gordon, Nemanja Bjelica, Anthony Bennett

C: Pau Gasol, Motiejunas, Mitch McGary, Furkan Aldemir

If two of Neto, Seth Curry, Huertas, Powell, Bennett, and McGary are good, my team could do some things. If Harden gets hurt, we suck.

PG: Deron Williams, Jerian Grant, Steve Blake

SG: Jordan Clarkson, Dion Waiters, Archie Goodwin, Jerryd Bayless

SF: Chandler Parsons, Jae Crowder, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Jeremy Evans

PF: Draymond Green, Amir Johnson, Derrick Williams, Darrell Arthur

C: Al Horford, Tiago Splitter, Robert Upshaw

Some injury risk with my starters, but I think they should mesh well. Might have to play Clarkson at the PG quite a bit, we'll see. Overall I'm happy with the mix of guys here. Should be fun to follow in-season like normal!

Of course the number one factor for everyone is health. A big injury or a bunch of small injuries to your top guys and any team is doomed. My best 4 players are 3 guys coming off major injuries and a rookie, so health is a big factor.

If Paul George can get back to where he was 2 years ago, he would probably be the steal of the auction. He's looking good in preseason.

Bosh is looking good too, if he's recovered from his blood clot and can give the same minutes at PF/C, he would be a great pick up as well.

My expectations for Kobe are 65 games at 32 mpg. 20pts 5rbs 5asts 48% shooting.

Towns has had some nice moments in preseason, if he could get 28-32 mins a game, his numbers will be good. Same with Payton, hoping for a little jump this season.

Randle has played great in preseason and looks to be fully recovered from his injury. Lamar Odom in Zach Randolph's body.

Derozan is in a contract year, hoping for another solid season.

Hoping to hit on one other rookie in Winslow, Payne, or Rozier, would probably have to have an injury in front of them to make a significant impact.

For the rest, just hoping for solid play/minutes.

Never quit being you.

When did you change your name back? It was ebok as of the beginning of this draft...

Whoops, meant 45%, typo.

It's been 4 years, thought it was time to go back.

PG: Steph Curry, Tony Parker, Aaron Harrison

SG: Kevin Martin, Lance Stephenson, Jodie Meeks, Ray Allen

SF: Marcus Morris, Paul Pierce, Quincy Pondexter, Sam Dekker, Perry Jones

PF: Danilo Gallinari, Brandon Bass, Boris Diaw, Luke Babbitt

C: Brook Lopez, Brandan Wright

Eh. Rebounding and defense will be an issue. Offensively, there are a lot of shooters and Lopez is nice near the hoop but a lack of distributors if Curry and Parker miss any time and Lance Stephenson continues to do Lance Stephenson things. While I have plenty of injury concerns, I should have enough minutes will mediocre fillers like Lance Stephenson, Jodie Meeks, Brandon Bass, and Boris Diaw to meet the necessary 20k minutes.

Only 5 starters by my count. Not the end all, but will be interesting to see if you can cobble the minutes.

In retrospect, Hezojna was too early I think. I should have taken a more known quantity (J. Grant -- we know he's playing at least, Pachulia, Warren, Crawford, Miles, Splitter) or at least backed up D Wade with Green.

If he gets mins, it's all good, but it feels like a bad choice now.

PG: Lowry, Schroder, Wright

SG: Gordon, Crawford, Powell

Probably the best.

Five starters and Tony Parker probably won't get more than 2000 minutes. Martin, Meeks and Bass should get 25+ mpg though and Pierce, Wright and Diaw will have more limited minutes but won't be dropping out of the rotation this season. Obviously injuries are a bigger concern here than with most teams, but hopefully Stephenson (who I think will either be getting 30 mpg or near zero) and Pondexter can carve out big roles. I don't have much hope of Babbitt, Harrison, Jones, Dekker, and Allen of either qualifying with 200 minutes or being worth a ####.
