Tony Parker PG SAS OKC $6,400

Russell Westbrook PG OKC @ SAS $11,300

Jamal Crawford SG LAC GSW $5,000

Dwyane Wade SG MIA CLE $8,800

LeBron James SF CLE @ MIA $10,500

Shawne Williams SF MIA CLE $4,100

Kris Humphries PF WAS @ NYK $4,500

Tristan Thompson PF CLE @ MIA $4,800

Steven Adams C OKC @ SAS $4,500

I am thinking of using this line up for the 300K contest on Fanduel tomorrow. Thoughts?
Like everything there except Kris Humphries. His numbers are trending in the wrong direction.

A lot of those guys will all have a pretty heavy ownership, especially Westy, LeBron, and T.Thompson. I can tell you that my lineups, I was starting with LeBron, T. Thompson, and S. Williams, and going from there. Thompson is such an easy call, and a low price, that his ownership% will be huge.

I like that lineup in cash games. In a GPP, assuming your studs do what they are supposed to do, and assuming a high ownership for T. Thompson, which I feel safe doing, my guess is that your contrary picks are Adams/Humphries/Crawford. You need those three to go off. And you made the move of Wade over Jimmy Buckets, so you really need Buckets to lay an egg, and clear out those teams. And the Bulls are playing the Lakers.

Westbrook is so expensive, if he scores 45, it's disappointing.

I wouldn't be surprised if the big GPP winners fade Lebron and Westbrook. Kind of fun to put in your favorite bargains, like Thompson or Brooks, then build a team without LeBron and Westy. Can really put some nice players in there.
Fade Westbrook with durant out? No ty
I know. And in a cash game, it's crazy talk. But on Fan Duel you need 65 points for him to hit value in a GPP. With a short slate, everyone's on the same value plays. Everyone is gonna be on Thompson, Birdman, and Williams. With Westbrook, you have to have those guys, just to field a lineup. If you fade him, and Westy scores 48, it';s and advantage for you.

If you start Westbrook in a GPP, and want to really cash, you need a real low percentage guy to go bonkers.
Good posting. I'm in the Santa Slam and am not playing Westbrook.
How is that working out for you? Lol
Not sure how you don't understand their POV or that it is worth mocking. Fading a top high priced and high owned player is certainly a viable strategy in tourney play.
fading a guy that has a 50 floor with durant out and was only 25 percent owned in the shot? You are right, I won't understand their POV. It isn't like Westbrook was 80 percent owned
how'd westbrook work out for you last night broseph?

On pace for his usual 50+ but didn't play the 4th quarter.

I ended up making $$ last night, guys like Monroe, Chandler, Waiters and Gasol etc picked up the slack

Pretty much every night I make a little money or a lot of money because the LUs I craft are so masterfully put together

Nice dude. How 'bout that FanDuel s/n? Would love to scoop some of your H2H and give you my money. It's the least I could do for you coming in here droppin' so much knowledge.

Going back to the O'Quinn well tonight?

Thoughts on other sleepers?

Jason Smith is dirt cheap with Acy and Amare out.

Dudley has had one bad game in his last four. Hate the rematch factor here though.

Trey Burke is somehow minimum price of DK tonight so make sure to play him if you play there. Also great value on FD.
He's the #1 value play on rotogrinders. Their history of those guys blowing up is awful. Burke will probably get his usual 15-20 fantasy points and no more. He already gets low 30's minutes per game and does garbage with those minutes, so doubt 5 more minutes is going to all of a sudden make him a good fantasy player.

If you want 15 or so fantasy points then he's good for that, but he's an awful GPP play.

No one in here comes close to my NBA daily knowledge and skill / track record of success. Humble yourselves before me and I may drop more and more knowledge.

Are you getting suckered into playing Trey Burke tonight? i was reading the rotogrinders message board and some there were saying it's unethical to play him on DK due to his price. That's hilarious...oh no, people are going to play some scrub and get him at a low price. Scrubs should be cheap.

Your stuff has been spot on before, delivery notwithstanding. I'm a noob, so I am always willing to listen. Who you got tonight?

For me:

Point guards there is a ton of value tonight (there always is, lately). Lot of people are on Jack, his price is low, I like him a lot more if I knew the minutes Deron is getting. I avoided, but would have played him in a GPP.

I took:

Kemba (both)

John Wall (both)

Trey Burke (cash)

Wroten (GPP)

Brooks (cash)

SG:

Beal (GPP)

Oladipo (cash)

Wade (both)

SF:

Hayward(cash)

Hill (both)

Muhammad (GPP)

Carmelo (both)

PF:

Milsap (both)

Noel (GPP)

O'Quinn (both)

West (cash)

C:

Dieng (both)

Gortat(cash)

Aldrich (GPP)

Vucevic (cash)

Players in both my cash lineups:

O'Quinn - now under 20% in my leagues

Hayward - very popular tonight

Oladipo - last player added to both lineups, not a huge fan of his inconsistencies but is highly owned by the masses today

Like the idea of playing a guy that burned people the previous night. And with his limited minuted because of foul trouble, not worried about fatigue. I'm on him.

That's what I was thinking. I haven't played in days maybe a week due to good 'ol life, but been reading up here and remember he was highly owned. Watch much of the Cavs game last night too.

Playing John Wall last night on DK killed me. I didn't have a good feeling about him, but with all the value on DK I had the money for him at my utility spot.

Placed in the money in both cash games and both GPP's on FD though. Been killing it over there all year so I think that's the site for me.

I'm avoiding Ariza, for now. He's been a solid cash play, but things are different there now.

Small forward is the place I am always looking for value, it's a weird position.

Thoughts, comments on this roster for Monday?

Kemba

Jack

Oladipo

Crawford

Deng

Ariza

Griffin

West

Zaza
Kemba is on a tear and pretty much money at home. His price is reflecting that, but he's a solid play tonight. I understand using Jack and have him in a couple of my dozen or so gpp lineups so far, but the situation with Williams coming of the bench is a little discomforting for cash games.

I keep thinking Oladipo can take his value up a level with Stephenson out, then he doesn't. Still another understandable play. He can penetrate at will on anyone the Heat line up. Crawford is pretty risky these days but his shot is back especially at home. I've seen a few Clip games live this month and I'm not comfortable using him anywhere but a gpp. I exchange him and Reddick when they're at home in a few gpps and when I like the matchup. Tonight they are a blow out risk making things sketchier. Utah has played tough on the road a few times recently so who knows? I am paying up at SG tonight with combos of Wade, Butler and JJohnson.

Deng and Ariza have similar issues. Deng has been improved with Bosh out, but Bosh is back. Ariza was getting ungodly minutes before Houston added Josh and Corey, but now it's hard to call. Even though the minutes have been solid with the new guys, his useage on offense has fallen like a stone. I'm punting one SF spot in order to use Harris or Hayward in the other. Punts includ MKG, Barnes, Henderson, RButler, Dudley. Rasual's minutes are pretty impressive lately.

Blake and West. Nice. I can't afford Griffin and pay up at SG so combos of Taj, Pau, Favors and West are in both my gpp and cash lineups. A blow out will not favor Blake who can really have some duds. I read somewhere he has been the least likely of all elite priced players to hit 5x value. Interesting blurb out of Chicago says Mirotic is going to get some extra minutes at SF. Could be some value there if so.

Zaza, yeah. He'll be heavily owned tonight. I prefer sites that let us use two centers (DK is my NBA home and I play more at two other sites than FD). I really like Cousins and Howard for 50+ pts tonight, but Zaza's value makes that hard to swallow at FD.

So those are my thoughts. Fwiw, I'm "grinding" NBA dfs "full-time" recently, have taken down a 28.5k team gpp and have several top ten finishes in other big tourneys. I just requested my third 5k withdrawal from DK in the last 45 days. I enter upwards of 40 gpp lineups a night while getting my thoughts solidified for a cash lineup. It's a blast with League Pass. But it leaves me little time to post around here. Priorities. Most of my success has come from these smaller (4-6) game slates, so back to the grind! GL

You should post more.

I'm riding Bookie tonight. I play mostly cash games.

What about Hood as the ultimate SF punt? I saw lineups that easily cashed with him in it Sat night.

Otherwise, I'll be deciding between Dudley and Rasual again.

Yes pls, mor posts!

My alternate for the night:

Wall

Rose

Oladipo

Crawford

Henderson

Deng

Griffin

West

Birdman

Will make some tweaks based on input to both.

Re: Crawford. I read an interesting article that pointed out even in the event of a blowout, he's the 6th man so could end up playing (even playing more) if the game isn't close for the Clippers. He was on fire the last game or so I watched for the clips, so may skew my opinion.

Re: Oladipo, he's been hitting 4, 5, or 6x value mostly. Re: Deng, he hit about 4.5x value even in his last 'off' game, and basically singly-handedly got me in the cash for xmas. Point taken, tho.

DK GPP. Thoughts are welcome.

Also, can someone provide some NBA DFS tips akin to NFL tips. I.e. don't stack a QB + RB in a GPP, etc.

edit - good twitter follows would be appreciated as well...

Similar to mine, Karma. Here's to tonight! I may scrap my harden lineup, feels too gpp'y, and take your slight alterations as my 2nd cash lineup.

Same here. Roared out of the gate and now need to hang on with just Hayward or Favors left.

Gerald Henderson must be value MVP of the night at almost 10x... unfortunately only had him in 1 out of 2.

Ya and I almost didn't play him. Luckily ended up in 2 of 3. Honorable mention to Henson. Dudley's consistent play continues and his days under 5k are over. They were helped by OT though.
