It was a step-back J for Oladipo and he buried it right in fellow rookie Michael Carter-Williams' face. Oladipo is having no issues in scoring the ball at Summer League, so it should be interesting how this will all translate once preseason comes around. He's shaping up to be a very intriguing fantasy prospect for his first season.

If the only knock on rookie is a poor jump shot, I'll take that. That's probably the one skill that usually improves during a player's career. Oladipo probably won't be the best player on a contender, but he certainly can be a helluva sidekick.

Glad Terrence jones got to play last night and looked good. The twin towers thing isn't working. Asik looks completely uninterested in doing anything but standing under the rim for rebounds and Howard already does that. It isn't his fault - he isn't quick enough to defend much away from the basket. But a trade is bound to be coming sooner rather than later.

I don't think the Cans would trade Anderson for Asik and I think Aldridge is a pipe dream as well. But for the mockable purposes of the Abe trade machine I offer...

Rockets are only using an 8 man rotation. If jones can take asik's minutes (he can) the rockets can add a good player without the urgency of rushing him back. Rondo would complement harden and Howard well by being a defensive guy and not having to take on the little brother role that he had in Boston. Celtics get an upgrade from humpheries and suddenly have a deep and young front court with olynek, Sullinger, Asik, and green.

Rose left last night's game late with what is apparently a hamstring issue. So we get to wait for word on that.

About the game, Rose hounded Irving all night. Irving really only had success on Rose when he pushed off and should have been called for offensive fouls twice. He drained a couple of baskets late after Rose left to make his numbers better. It was their first matchup ever in the NBA.

Rose was better offensively aside from the timing of his jumper. He attacked the rim successfully and had 7 assists with no turnovers. The game appeared to have slowed down for him again.

Lastly, the Cavs are a completely different team with Bynum on the floor. Offensively, he is still the best post man in the league who can find open teammates. Let's hope he can at least continue to give them 20 or so minutes most nights.

There are a lot of very good PG's in the league, and finding a pretty good one isn't all that hard. For all that Rondo does very well, there are things you generally need from a PG that he's pretty awful at. It's not that absurd, but if Boston is trading Rondo, they're in even further tank mode and won't want any "old" pieces back especially a guy owed close to 15 million next year.

Surprised how good a player Lance Stephenson has become. He's really perfect for what the Pacers need.Figured he would have washed out due to effort and off the court issues. Left a lot to be desired with his effort on the court at Cincy.

Would be a mistake to start Granger over him. Granger can offer scoring off the bench when healthy.

Stephenson with a triple dub last night. So is this improvement going to stick, or small sample size? He had shown improvement in the playoffs last season, but not like this. If he's going to be a front line starter, that changes things in the East.

Pacers looking good. They added some quality bench players in Scola and Watson. If Stephenson can step his game up from last year and play like he is playing so far this year, I don't see any reason why the Pacers can't overtake the Heat. Plus this is all happening before Grainger gets back from injury.

I hope they keep the starting lineup as is, when Grainger gets back, moving him to more of a 6th man role.

top be fair to the Knicks the nuggets have the option of switching picks with them, but nuggets could be a bottom five team this year so if Knicks suck that Bargs trade could be an all time blunder.
